慶基殿是供奉成立朝鮮的太祖李太祖肖像畫的地方。仁辰倭亂中慶基殿遭損壞，現存建築是1614年重建的。慶基殿內設有保管朝鮮王朝實錄的全州史庫、御真博物館等。聽說這裏曾是韓劇《宮》的取景地，很多人穿着傳統服飾來這裏拍照。
