曼德勒的名字也是來自這座城內最高的山丘——曼德勒山。當年釋迦牟尼宣揚佛法時路過此山，指着山下廣袤的土地，預言2400年後，這裡會出現一座繁華的大城。曼德勒果然不負所望，在敏東國王的統治下，30年的榮景在歷史中點綴成不朽的一頁。

曼德勒 山是佛教名山，舊稱羅剎女山。 曼德勒 城就是因為這座山而得名。 曼德勒 山高236米，山上共有231座大佛塔和寺院，1000多座的小寺院。從東、南、西三個方向各有一條石階通往 曼德勒 山的山頂，沿途有著名的八大寺廟。旅遊大巴不能開到 曼德勒 山景點，我們換乘這種雙排車來到半山腰的停車坪。這是 曼德勒 城市的公交車，一輛車有時要坐20多人還人貨混裝。從山腰可以坐電梯直達山頂。為了觀賞沿途的風景我們選擇爬樓梯登上山頂 。

翡翠佛塔是全球唯一一座由天然翡翠建成的佛塔。2012年建設完畢，一對虔誠的緬族人夫婦用他們儲存了25年的玉石，花了兩年的時間建造而成。總共使用了1000噸的玉石，價值11億美元。最好的翡翠被插入寶塔的尖端，夜晚塔頂和部分塔身發射出綠色光芒，攝人心魄。

Otherwise, bring a big scarf and cover your legs when you enter a temple. Then, for the first time, try to ride the escalator barefoot. It's sour.

The scenery is really wonderful. In fact, Mount Mandalay is not very high. It's 236 meters above sea level. It's just a bit hard. We ride motorcycles. We can rent motorcycles, cars and bicycles locally. Motorcycles are 80/day RMB and bicycles are 20/day. We charge 400 subunits for parking. After arriving at the top of the mountain, the extension road is full of vendors, food and crafts! There are many local people taking night scenes here, which can overlook the whole Mandalay. And watching the sunset here is absolutely beautiful!

左邊是扶手梯上山頂，右邊是電梯直上山頂上山頂遊客需要購買門票電梯直通山頂，但是要注意晚上6點就會關閉，這時候遊客只能從另外一邊乘坐扶手梯下到山腰
