Towering into the clouds, the stupa and the glittering reclining Buddha: The beauty of Wat Pho
🛕Wat Pho🛕
Wat Pho, also known as Wat Phra Kaew, is one of the most famous temples in Bangkok, Thailand. Not only does it house the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand, but it also has a stupa that soars into the clouds, which is breathtaking.
🌈Scenery🌈
Upon entering Wat Pho, the first thing that catches your eye is a huge reclining Buddha. This Buddha is 46 meters long and 15 meters high, covered in gold leaf, dazzling in its splendor. Behind the Buddha is a towering stupa, standing at 85 meters tall, perfectly complementing the reclining Buddha. Under the sunlight, the stupa, along with the sky, clouds, and city buildings, creates a beautiful tapestry.
📖Reading Experience📖
At Wat Pho, you can also admire precious Buddhist scriptures and artifacts. Moreover, if you're lucky, you might encounter monks in orange robes, to whom you can ask questions about Buddhism. We once met a highly respected monk here who enthusiastically conversed with us in English. Although his English was not very fluent, this cross-language and cultural exchange was heartwarming.

Wat Pho, also known as the "Patchupang Royal Monastery", is the name of the "reclining Buddha Temple", which is a 46-meter long, golden reclining Buddha in the temple. It is the largest indoor Sakyamuni reclining Buddha in Thailand. The reclining Buddha Temple was first built in 1788 and is one of the oldest temples in Bangkok. The Reclining Buddha Temple is not far from the Grand Palace and the Jade Buddha Temple, and you can visit it together.
