Doudian Mosque

After nearly a year of renovation, the mosque has been completely renovated. The roof has been changed from a dome to a traditional Chinese roof. The night view is better than the photos. Currently, it is free to open. In the morning, 8:00-11:00, and 14:00-17:00 in the afternoon, the staff in the temple are very friendly. Doudian Mosque covers an area of 14,958 square meters, with a construction area of 12,142 square meters, and can accommodate 1,500 people at the same time. The mosque is in a zigzag layout, with a large hall, deputy hall, lecture hall, office, reception room, conference room, exhibition room, buried room, bathroom, restaurant, etc. The main hall is located in the middle, forming the architectural style of "the stars and the moon", and is the largest mosque in North China. A newly built mosque is particularly striking in Doudian Village, Doudian Town, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing. Stepping into the mosque, the towering Bunker Building, the round dome, and the Islamic-style carvings make it seem like an instant trip through an Arab country. In order to meet the religious needs of the Muslim masses and protect the ancient halal temple with a history of 300 years, with the strong support of the Fangshan District Committee, the district government and relevant departments, on August 9, 2011, Doudian built a new mosque to break ground, and completed on July 1, 2017. It was officially opened on Eid al-Fitr day.
