The Church of the Holy Cross, located in the square of the Holy Cross in the city of Florence, is a Gothic-style church that has been built for more than 700 years. The Church of the Holy Cross is built with red brick, the facade is a white marble, carved with many beautiful and small designs, very beautiful. On the right side of the front of the church is a statue of the famous poet Dante. The church is very tall and especially magnificent under the blue sky and white clouds.

The Basilica of Santa Croce is a Franciscan Church, and some say that St. Francis, himself, was involved in the construction process. Construction of this Church began in the late 13th century and the Church was finally consecrated by the Pope in the early 15th century. I was overwhelmed by the splendor and beauty of this Church. How many Churches have you visited that had the frescoes of the great Giotto, or the reliefs of Donatello?! While in Firenze, this Church should be on everyone's bucket list to visit.
