The hike was about 5 miles out to reach destination. There were still iceburg and several chunks floating in the lake, on our trip we saw a moose about 200 yards from the lake, a black bear in the val...
Crowded
Of course, this is a fantasetic hike and lake, mitigated by the crowding. Go early in the morning. Wait to return after 5pm in the summer.
STUNNING!
Freezing cold but refreshing. Swim to the nearby iceberg if you dare. GORGEOUS lake!! Bring a towel and your swim suit to wear so tht you don't hike back down in wet clothing!!
