5/5完美萬松寺，宗派屬於曹洞宗，內有本尊十一面観音菩薩，開宗立派者為大雲永瑞大和尚（織田信秀的伯父）。天文18年，信秀去世，喪葬儀式就在萬松寺舉行。織田信秀的喪葬儀式，在萬松寺隆重舉行。作為喪禮之主的織田信長腰間纏着稻草繩的帶子，長束的太刀和脇差，茶筌的髮型，一副與悲哀的喪葬儀式格格不入的姿態出現，並在香爐中抓起了一把香灰，扔向了信秀的靈牌，之後揚長而去。這件“萬松寺擲香”事件，大大的有名，也使得織田家的家臣們憤怒不已。
