The Indian Museum is located in New Delhi. It contains abundant Indian cultural heritage. It is divided into six parts: archaeology, art, ethnology, geology, property, zoology and so on. Among them, the archaeological Department displays abundant objects from the ancient civilization era to the Muslim era in India. The beautiful works of Buddhism and Hinduism are also collected here, especially the Buddhist Sherley. For the first time, the Art Department showed textiles, carpets, metals and ivory works of art from all over India. There were also many royal jewellery collections, which were quite large.
