Paris Art Bridge is located on the Seine River in the centre of Paris. It was built in 1804. In order to connect the French Academy and the Art Exhibition Hall, Napoleon I ordered the construction of art bridges for pedestrians. The Art Bridge was destroyed by German bombing during the two World Wars and was eventually rebuilt in the 1980s. The tradition of Europeans chained to bridges began in the early 20th century in memory of their lover who died in battle. Tourists who come here will throw keys into the river to show their loyalty after fixing the lock on the bridge. So the bridge is also called Love Lock Bridge.

To the west of the new bridge in Paris, the Art Bridge of PortdesArts, which connects the French Society on the left bank of the Seine and the Louvre on the right bank, was built in the early nineteenth century and rebuilt in the 1980s. The bridge railings are densely covered with love locks left by couples of all ages. Some bridges collapsed under heavy loads in 2014. Part of the love lock behind the bridge was removed. Metro Line M7 is under Xinqiao Station.
