The Holy Land of Notre Dame Lutis, commonly known as Notre Dame Cave, is on the top of Saipan Hill. Ninety percent of Saipan believed in Catholicism. The Holy Land of Notre Dame Lutis was considered a sacred Catholic shrine. The statue of Notre Dame Maria was under a big tree. On the right was an old church. This is also the fresh water source of Saipan Island. It is said that the missionaries excavated fresh water here according to God's finger. During the Pacific War, only Saipan Island was not baptized by war, and the local people believed that it was blessed by the Virgin Mary.
