Saint Catherine College of Cambridge University is a college of Cambridge University. Most Cambridge students like to call the college Catz. With a high academic level, the College won the top ranking of Thompkins in 2005. In addition, the College's rowing fleet contributed three of its eight members to Cambridge University's rowing fleet in 2003 and 2004. St. Catherine College, founded by Alexandra Catherine in 1473. She had been sentenced to death, to be crucified on a wheeled cross. However, when her body touched the cross, the wheel miraculously broke. So the wheel became Catherine's mascot. This is the origin of the Golden Wheel pattern on the college gate. William Wotton, who was born in 1666, knew Latin, Greek and Hebrew at the age of six and went to Cambridge University at the age of nine. He was the youngest undergraduate in Cambridge's history.
