Near the hot springs, there is Zhanyuan Garden, located in the core area of Qinhuai Scenic Belt of Confucius Temple in Qinhuai District, Nanjing. It is the longest existing classical garden of Ming Dynasty in Nanjing and the four famous gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. Its history can be traced back to the Wuwang Palace before Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor of the Ming Dynasty, was authorized by Zhu Yuanzhang and Xu Da.
