Architectural students and everyone seem to have a different focus #The biggest surprise in Changsha's famous scenic spot "Yuelu Academy" is the "Chinese Academy Museum" in the corner. When visitors visit exhibits to appreciate the Chinese Millennium Academy culture, one or two of them are often amazed by the ingenious design of space. The exhibits were hardly seen, but they ran up and down the museum, repeatedly experiencing the ingenious design of space. Unlike most museums, which set the entrance in the middle to show solemnity, the Chinese Academy Museum is modest and low-key with the entrance located near the left and in the middle. The interior exhibition space layout is very interesting. Many places are divided into small courtyards. The layout of window openings allows visitors to see green plants outside the window from time to time. It is not like a general museum, which is totally closed and oppressive. Moreover, there are doors leading to the courtyard, so that visitors can directly contact green plants. (I'm not going to say that some silly couple who saw the small courtyard on the second floor of the museum through the window on the second floor went down to the first floor to find the door to the courtyard.) Another interesting space experience is that besides enjoying the green plants through the window, the window sill behind an exhibition area can sit up and rest with a little tiptoe, and the design behind the exhibition area gives people a kind of concave design. The feeling of a secret little space. The height of the wall next to a seat on the second floor is also specially designed. It is just above the height of the head when a person sits down in the seat. It gives a sense of security and does not give a sense of oppression due to complete closure. On the second floor, there is a downward opening space which is also very intentional. It is directly opposite to the college model below, and the size of the opening is exactly the same. The designer's idea should be that visitors can look down from the fence and overlook the whole Academy model. But what the designer didn't take into account at first was that the glass reflected too much light, leading to looking down, only to see the reflected roof. Then the lighting on the roof is also a bright spot. Through the staggered layer of the sloping roof, the light enters the room from the staggered part. In addition to the distinction between different exhibition areas through the exhibition board with the name of the exhibition area, the floor has also made a soft space conversion prompt - marble material and wood material intersection, low-key and attentive. Only after such a visit can I really feel why the understanding of architecture can not only stay in books, but also that the simple words, pictures and personal space experience are really two latitudes. (After searching the Internet, I learned that the museum was designed by Wei Chunyu, Dean of Hunan University's School of Architecture. Sure enough, the design gives people a different feeling. Unfortunately, it was too late to stay there any longer. There should be a lot of highlights left unattended.
