Shenzhen Bay Port Station is the southern terminus of Shenzhen Metro Line 13. It opened on December 28, 2024, along with the first phase of the southern section. Exits B and C are a 2-3 minute walk from the port's passenger terminal building. This article provides a comprehensive overview of Shenzhen Bay Port Metro Station exits, the Shenzhen Metro map, the first and last trains of the entire line, fares and payment methods, as well as information on shopping malls, attractions, and routes along the line.
Located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen Bay Port is a major land border crossing for Hong Kong residents traveling north from Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, and Tin Shui Wai. With the opening of the southern section of Line 13 Phase I on December 28, 2024, the port will be connected to the Shenzhen Metro network for the first time, allowing direct access to the city center after crossing the border without relying solely on buses or taxis.
Shenzhen Bay Port Station is the southern starting point of Line 13. The station is located on Wanghai Road, adopts an underground Spanish-style platform design, and is operated by MTR (Shenzhen). The southern section of Phase 1 of Line 13 runs from Shenzhen Bay Port Station to Gaoxin Middle Station, with a total of seven stations, and can be transferred to Lines 1, 2, 9 and 11 along the way.

After crossing the border from the Port Immigration Building, enter the station via Exit B or Exit C and walk for about 2 to 3 minutes.
The nearest subway station to Shenzhen Bay Port is Shenzhen Bay Port Station (Line 13). After crossing the border, you can get off the platform directly without changing buses. Note that it belongs to a different port from Futian Port Station on Lines 4 and 10, and Lo Wu Station on Line 1. Figure out your destination before crossing the border.
If your destination is Shenzhen Bay Park or Houhai area, board the train at Shenzhen Bay Port Station; if you want to go to the park or seaside, Exit A is the closest.
There are three exits at Shenzhen Bay Metro Station: Exit A, Exit B, and Exit C. All of them have elevators. Exit B also has restrooms.
| exit | Location | Surrounding area |
| A Export | East side of Wanghai Road | Shenzhen Bay Park and Seaside Promenade |
| B Exit | West side of Wanghai Road | Port passenger terminal building, taxi stand |
| C Exit | West side of Wanghai Road | Port passenger terminal building and bus transfer station |

If you're carrying luggage through customs, it's recommended to use Exit B or C, as both exits are close to the passenger terminal building. Exit C also connects to the bus transfer station, making it more convenient to transfer to buses to Nanshan and Bao'an areas.
The Shenzhen Bay Port Metro Line 13 will open on December 28, 2024, with the southern section of Phase 1 opening on the same day. The northern section of Phase 1 will subsequently open on December 28, 2025, extending the entire line to Shangwu Station. The first train from Shenzhen Bay Port Station departs at 06:30, and the last train departs at 23:00, similar to other lines in the city.
Please note that the closing times at the border crossing and the subway are not the same: Shenzhen Bay Port's passenger clearance time is from 06:30 to 24:00 (cargo inspection is 24 hours), but Line 13's last train departs at 23:00. After 23:00, you will need to take a bus or taxi to cross the border; during long holidays such as Spring Festival, May Day, and National Day, Shenzhen Metro usually extends its service, but the actual service time is subject to official announcements.
To get to the Shenzhen Bay Port from Hong Kong by MTR, you need to take a bus from Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, or Tin Shui Wai to the port to cross the border, and then transfer to Line 13. There is no direct MTR line from Hong Kong to the port.
To compare other ways to travel north, such as high-speed rail, border buses, and ferries, you can see the Hong Kong to Shenzhen transportation comparison; for border opening hours, crossing arrangements, and other transportation options, you can refer to the Shenzhen Bay Port 2026 guide.
Shenzhen Metro currently has 17 lines, with a total length of approximately 654 kilometers, covering areas such as Nanshan, Futian, Luohu, Longgang, and Bao'an. Below is a map of the entire network, followed by maps of two border crossing routes commonly used by Hong Kong residents.

The image shows the 2026 version of the entire network map. The latest version can be viewed on the Shenzhen Metro official website's network map page.
The official Shenzhen Metro map itself is a high-definition map. After opening the official website page, you can save the image and print it horizontally with A3 or A4; mobile users take the above route maps and long press to save them to the album. Keep it offline before you leave, so you can see it even if the network is unstable after crossing the border.
Reminder: New sections of the Shenzhen Metro open almost every year (such as the southern section of Line 13). The old map may not show the latest stations.

Line 13 starts at Shenzhen Bay Port Station in the south and runs north through Talent Park, Houhai, Keyuan, Yuehaimen, Shenzhen University, and High-tech Zone. The northern section of Phase I opened on December 28, 2025, extending from High-tech North Station to Shangwu Station in Shiyan, Bao'an District (where you can transfer to Line 6). The journey from Shenzhen Bay Port Station to Shangwu Station takes approximately 37 minutes.

Line 4 is a dedicated line to Futian Port. There are no trains returning to the port after the last one, so allow extra time for crossing the border at night.

The last train on Line 13 departs from Shenzhen Bay Port Station at 23:00, but customs clearance for passengers continues until 24:00. Passengers crossing the border late at night will need to take a bus instead.
Shenzhen Metro charges based on distance, with a starting price of RMB 2. You can enter the gate using Shenzhen Tong or by scanning a QR code with your mobile phone. The fare for a few stops is usually just a few yuan.
| Driving mileage range | Fee Standard | Remark |
| 0–4 km | Starting from ¥2 | Lowest one-way ticket price |
| 4–12 km | +¥1 for every additional 4 kilometers | Commonly used pricing for short-distance trips within the city |
| 12–24 km | +¥1 for every additional 6 kilometers | Applicable across Futian, Nanshan and Longhua districts |
| More than 24 kilometers | For every additional 8 kilometers +¥1 | As far as Guangming and Pingshan |
Passengers aged 60 and above can ride for free with valid identification, and seniors traveling north to take the subway generally do not need to pay.
The usual practice for Hong Kong people is to activate AlipayHK or WeChat PayHK on their mobile phones before departure, and then scan the code directly after crossing the border without having to queue to buy a single-journey ticket.
