Very good : Hotel setting, hotel garden, building layout, decoration, room 363, view on Elbe, Food quality, therme facility, personnel friendliness But negative experiences : - Personnel did their best to help us when needed in English, but at the reception desk mastering the English language was not good enough to help us out - Airco in room not working adequately for the temperatures outside, with only offered help a ventilator in the room, and the excuse that the technical problem was known and ‘being addressed’ without knowing by when. It is better to not mention airco as available on the hotel’s facilities list. - Safe in room : we had to call the page twice to reset the code , and quite sure we did not mistype - Personal safety hazard: my wife fell over a Parasol post (without parasol) on the terrace and hurt herself really badly in the face (nose, lip, chin) and her knee, requiring special wound care, and causing us to reduce/cancel/review planned activities. We put ourselves a terrace chair on top of the 2 parasol posts to prevent this happening to other guests or staff. We are not sure that the receptionist who we told about it, really understood (the English) what happened and if hotel management was briefed on the accident. We did not experience any follow up contact from anyone. - One room key had to be reprogrammed to enter the room on the day of arrival already - The 2 room keys had to be reprogrammed to enter the garage for the bikes - Safety hazard: When going up the stairs to level 4 (wellness) I found the electricity cabinet wide open. (For cooling it?) - WIFI in the room is very poor and very variable in strength across the facility, almost nowhere there is full strength and WiFi speed is too low to be user friendly. We hope you understand why our experience is very mixed, and welcome a follow up communication from the management of the hotel about the mentioned experiences. We addressed our comments directly to you via mail 6 days ago, but as we did not receive any direct response we decided to share on Tripadvisor.
