The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. You can take the elevator down to the LL floor, turn left out the door, and you're directly at Lotte Duty Free. Myeongdong shopping street is just across the road, and subway access is very easy with multiple exits nearby. There's even a 7-Eleven conveniently located right by the entrance.
However, considering the service, facilities, and overall amenities, the price is genuinely expensive and frankly, not worth it. A Westin in a major Chinese city, offering better and newer facilities in every aspect, would only cost a little over 1000 RMB. This hotel was great in every aspect. The lighting, air conditioning, and other features in the room were all controlled by a smart pad next to the bed, which was pretty cool. The hotel's location is excellent; it's right next to Lotte Department Store, and Myeongdong shopping street is also nearby. Deoksugung Palace is across the street, so you can walk there, and Gyeongbokgung Palace isn't too far either, about 1km away, also within walking distance. A heads-up: Korean hotels typically don't provide complimentary toothbrushes. I stayed here for a night out in Seoul with a close friends from high school, and his wife meeting up in Asia. As always, when staying at the Grand Hyatt, you end up not having a “night out” but rather a “night in” because the amenities at the hotel are spectacular. The live band in the lobby bar, the pool turned into the Girbaud ice skating rink, amazingly cooked steakhouse, the indoor pool, etc etc. We had a great night, and once again, when staying at any Grand Hyatt, you never know who you’ll run into. On this occasion, we had run into solo artist/actor Mr Henry Lau, also from Super Junior, and was he was not only kind enough to take a quick photo with my friend’s wife, but I messed up the photo—and after learning I had bumbled the photo during her opportunity to meet one of her k-pop idols—was willing to take another entire series of photos.
The staff ended up helping me with a medical emergency in the middle of the night and stayed very calm during the entire process. Which I will also report to the company directly.
When traveling to Korea—Seoul, Jeju, etc. and anywhere abroad I often stay at the Grand Hyatt in the King Corner Suite. Such a beautiful room, but on this occasion it was just a normal King River view on 9F. A bit small for 3 people, but they made a sofa bed for me while I gave the couple the bed since I only grabbed the room for us (me) for a few hours before I head back to Wuhan—allowing my friends to enjoy the hotel to themselves after I departed. Easy checkout process for them. It was very nice.
Will definitely be back.

The service was outstanding, truly living up to its reputation as a Forbes-listed hotel in Seoul. While the room's decor is a bit dated, it was impeccably clean and tidy. Housekeeping was consistently five-star standard, which was truly excellent. All the staff spoke excellent English, and I was even given a complimentary room upgrade, which was much appreciated. The amenities are fantastic. There's a duty-free shop right opposite, and the hotel provides a shuttle service to Myeongdong and the subway station, which is incredibly convenient. The location isn't too bad, if you want to go late night shopping at Dongdaemun, then you will have to walk around 15 mins. An alright walk when the temperature is in the 20s but unbearable in the summer heat. Room wise, the beds are comfortable and the room is clean but small. There were a few mosquitos and flies in the bathroom that I assume came up from the drain because we did not leave the door open or open the window. Overall, a positive experience.
1. The hotel's location is excellent, situated right by the 'City Hall' subway station in the heart of Seoul. Both subway and bus stops are conveniently close, making it incredibly easy to access all major tourist attractions in the city.
2. Traveling as a family of three, we booked a King room. The room was impressively spacious, easily exceeding 30 square meters. It was also remarkably quiet, and the comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep.
3. The hotel service was quite good, certainly not as poor as some online reviews might suggest. Personally, I did not perceive any discriminatory treatment towards Chinese guests from either the front desk or other staff members. The front desk staff were particularly polite and courteous when we stored our luggage.
On the downside, there were protests/demonstrations taking place downstairs on the weekend, which made it a bit noisy and chaotic, and also resulted in traffic restrictions.

The hotel service was excellent. When we were checking in, we realized we'd left a backpack, including our passports, on the airport shuttle. Upon learning we had elderly family and children with us, Ruby, who was at the front desk, helped us check in without our passports. She patiently communicated with us using English and a translation app, assisted in contacting the bus company, and explained the situation to ease our worries. My husband was initially concerned they wouldn't follow up actively and even tried calling the lost and found himself, but found they couldn't communicate in English, so he had to ask Ruby for help again. After Ruby spoke with them again, she asked us to rest and wait for her call. We returned to our room feeling anxious, and about ten minutes later, we received a call asking us to come downstairs. Ruby informed us that she had contacted the bus, confirmed the bag was on board, and that the bus would arrive at the stop next to the hotel in about 5 minutes. She even walked us to the bus stop (which was truly very close, about a 2-minute walk) to make sure we found it easily, and we successfully retrieved our bag and documents. Our daughter drew a picture on the spot to express her gratitude (I regretted not having any Chinese specialty souvenirs to give). Here, our entire family wants to once again thank all the staff, including Ruby. They also helped a lot during the rest of our stay and were all very friendly and enthusiastic (they even helped us call taxis, and the English communication was the smoothest compared to the other hotels we stayed at later).FromMOP 703

The hotel itself is clean and tidy, with the front desk located on the 14th floor. There's also a convenient store nearby. The rooms aren't large, but they are spotless and completely odor-free. It’s a dated hotel, wallpapers peeling kind. The double bed sinks in the middle, uncomfortable. Walls are thin, heard the people next door chatting and laughing till 1am, you can literally hear everything from them plugging in a plug to using of hairdryer, gosh. It’s not worth the price to stay here. The hotel do not have heater (only aircon), so it’ll be very cold in cold seasons.
Bright side of this hotel is its convenience and it’s clean. 7-11 right downstairs. Located right outside Myeongdong station exit 9. Short easy 1min walk to airport bus transfer. Staff is very welcoming and friendly.FromMOP 666

We booked a slightly larger room, which was great as it didn't feel cramped. The hotel is a bit dated. The automated toilet seat was broken; they attempted a repair, but it still wobbled. Worse, the room door was also faulty. The hotel called a technician who was very friendly and professional – big praise for them! In contrast, the young man at the front desk was completely unhelpful. He just kept saying 'I'm new here' and offered no solutions, which was incredibly frustrating.
Regarding the location: compared to where we stayed afterwards, this hotel felt a bit out of the way and was hard to find. The surrounding area is mainly advertising businesses, most of which seemed closed, giving it a rather deserted and quiet feel. It's a stark contrast to the lively area across the street.

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is directly on Chyeonggyecheon Stream and close to many subway and bus lines, including one bus stop (173) that is right in front of the hotel. The hotel is centrally located, but the area immediately around the hotel is not chaotic; I found it rather peaceful because of the stream.
The room was comfortable and cozy and the wifi was decent. The only thing that I didn’t like was that there are no outlets close to the beds, but I suppose that’s healthier. I would definitely stay here again.FromMOP 718

Overall, everything was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, and check-in at the front desk was quick. The hotel lobby has a self-service currency exchange machine, and the GS25 convenience store nearby is very convenient for buying and recharging T-money cards. The only minor drawback was that the bed was a bit too soft.
I particularly want to commend the excellent location: First, it's just a 200-meter, two-to-three-minute walk from the 'Euljiro 2(i)-ga' bus stop if you take the 6015 bus from Incheon Airport, and the return trip is just as easy. Second, Myeongdong is only a 10-minute walk away. Third, there are many restaurants downstairs, and there's even an area that's bustling with young people late at night, so you can always find food even if you arrive late. The biggest pros:
Strategically located in the heart of Myeongdong, you step right out into a bustling shopping street and night market. The Olive Young flagship store is downstairs, and there's a Starbucks right at the entrance. The subway station is a convenient 7-minute walk away, making it easy to get around.
The cons:
The room size is surprisingly small, making it a bit cramped when opening luggage. Soundproofing is also just average. Plus, showering inside the bathtub is quite inconvenient.
They don't provide complimentary disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste; they cost about 6,000 KRW each. However, they do offer shampoo, hand soap, shower gel, and body lotion, which all smell pretty good.

Aloft myeongdong was one of the best hotel in myeongdong. The location located in heart of myeongdong where night market was 50 meter only.
Nearby hotel also got the 7 eleven, luggage shop, money currency, olive young and etc.
Namdaemun market are walking distance within 5 minutes.
Namsan tower also walking distance withing 5-10 minutes walking
2 station nearby which are Myeongdong and Eljiro 1.
In term of hotel room, it was decent size for 2 people and still can open up luggage with ease.
The toilet also good and equip with bidet.

Good Location, But Room Size & Soundproofing Could Be Better
Stayed at Crown Park Hotel Myeongdong during my trip to Seoul. The location is definitely the highlight — just a short walk to Myeongdong shopping street, subway stations, and lots of food and convenience stores nearby. Super convenient for exploring the city!
The room was clean and modern, but a bit smaller than expected, even by Seoul standards. It felt a little cramped for two people with luggage. Also, the soundproofing wasn’t great — I could hear hallway noise and some sounds from neighboring rooms.

I had a fantastic experience at the Stanford Hotel in Myeongdong. The location is unbeatable—right across from Semicolon, where Vands Clinic is a few levels up, making it incredibly convenient for my skincare treatments. Being in the heart of Myeongdong, everything from shopping to dining was just steps away. Limousine Bus 6015 is only a few minutes away.
The hotel itself was clean, modern, and comfortable. Staff were courteous and professional, and check-in was smooth and efficient. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere despite being in such a lively area. It was the perfect blend of accessibility and relaxation.

1. Direct access from Gimpo Airport via Line 9. The hotel is a straight 2-3 minute walk from the subway exit. The location is quite good, especially for exploring Yeouido. It might be a bit far if you need to cross the river frequently.

3. Plenty of tables and chairs, enough for three people to sit comfortably.
4. Three beds.
5. Check-out time is 12:00 PM (compared to 11:00 AM at other hotels).
Cons:
1. Only a bathtub, so you have to stand in it to shower, but there's a shower curtain.
2. Not many charging ports, but enough for basic needs.
3. The room I booked had no window.

I came for my honeymoon and stayed at the Junior King Suite for the whole trip. Services are excellent and the cleanliness of the room is tip-top. Room is always cleaned when I came back for the day. Also, the staffs are friendly, helpful and kind.
Only thing is, to get an Uber to return to the hotel is a little challenging because drivers hesitate to accept due to the distance from the city. But regardless of that, Novotel Suite is still a great place to stay! 🎊🎊😁

I thought it would be great considering the price plus I've stayed there before in mainland China. But I was a little disappointed. Although the facilities are maintained, you can tell they are old. Especially the shower water is sometimes hot and sometimes cold... I was a little dumbfounded how could there be such a problem. For breakfast, if you are staying for several days, I suggest you don't buy it every day because there are only four sets to choose from. But they are very exquisite~ and delicious. The overall service is great, nothing to complain about. Especially the front desk lady is super good. She helped me call a taxi. I needed to change the address temporarily and she ran out to confirm with the driver. It's great. The attitude is also very good. Every time I visit Seoul, I stay at this hotel. It's incredibly close to Myeongdong, just a 5-minute walk. Location is fantastic. Very accessible to Myeongdong station in just 3min . Tap water is either too hot and also the flow is too slow when you put it all the way to the cold side. Shower and toilet rooms are separated, in two different side of the hotel room. Hotel check in is self-check in using the machine, if require assistance, would need to call up at reception counter for the receptionist. The toothbrush and toothpaste are available at a cost. Washing machine and dryer are also available to use at the hotel. Room is clean. Just as how it is in shown in the pictures. Pillows however, there are only 2, for a queen size bed.
