Had such a lovely break, beautiful pool and facilities. Breakfast service great, would love to return, only one hour from home.

Purchased a King room in the modern wing. On arrival, went to our room in the old part of the hotel which was not what we booked. By the way this is very poorly sign posted and lots of small stairs and doors to navigate. Took a while to fined. Rang reception and was told this was an upgrade. After a very long conversion/debate about it being an upgrade (which I disagreed with) they spoke to management and agreed to move us to the room we booked. The old room was a feature room but was tired, creaky floorboards, small ish, had a standard double and a room divider which you could see over and has mould on the coving the other side. The room we booked was modern, clean, larger and had a king bed (like we booked). We stayed for 2 days and when they cleaned the room they made the bed only I think. Used mugs stayed in same place, coffees area not cleaned or replenished. Breakfast was fine. Grounds need some TLC and not kept well near the modern block. Key card stopped working on the second day and had to go to reception to sort out. Overall a bit disappointing to be honest.

Beautiful setting but property unable to accommodate us and re room us when room was too hot to sleep in with broken ac. Had to leave and find another hotel at midnight. Most upsetting.

Check-in was fine, standard, we were impressed with the drive into the grounds and Crewe Hall was very impressive on arrival. From there, it was downhill.... The rooms were very dated, whilst bedding was clean, the rest left a lot to be desired for... The aircon did not work in the room, set of towels laid out for 1 person in the bathroom (only to be told by reception that I should look in the wardrobe), restaurant was busy (glad business was booming at the hotel) so we went to eat elsewhere. On return, I informed reception re. above and they kindly changed our room. The replacement room was no better, again, dated, aircon worked but it ratteld at 63db (basically like a washing machine on a permanent spin cycle going off right above our heads) and room felt grimey, carpets needed a good clean in my opinion. Breakfast was included and was good. The main Hall is an impressive building seeped in history and was a joy to walk around but the rooms in the newer quarter needs a lot of updating. Very disappointing.

By definition, the experience was "mixed". Let's start with the good points: ~ first impressions - amazing - what a spectacular looking building ~ the manager on duty was very helpful - and kept the pool area open for us post its closing time of 6pm - as we arrived at 5:45pm, and had no idea that the pool was going to be closed at 6pm ~ staff were generally very friendly ~ breakfast was really good - and the kitchen made scrambled eggs especially for us ~ the interior of the old building is amazing, and most unusual Now for the not so good bits: ~ the new part of the hotel looks like a 60s comprehensive school - and couldn't be more different from the old part. The architect should be ..... ~ the "quad" between the new wing and the (also new) spa looks like a prison yard (how about some flowers? or a fountain?) the contrast from the old part of the hotel is astonishing, but not in a good way ~ despite having many rooms, and dozens of car parking spaces, there was not even ONE charger for an electric car. in 2024 this is outrageous. Of course, you could blame the authorities for not making it mandatory - but what are the management thinking? ~ the room (in the new part) was very dusty, and parts of the paintwork (eg the bathroom were scratched and broken looking) Thus - a "mixed" experience overall....

Great welcoming staff. Quiet for a weekend. Staff at the Brasserie and Spa really friendly and helpful. Some areas of the hotel a bit tired but overall lovely.

Property is excellent, very historical. Had feature room which was lovely and had great facilities (inc wine and beer in room). Food wasn’t great, we explained to staff who were very apologetic. Roads leading to hotel are full of pot holes and in desperate need of resurfacing. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Upon driving 4 hours to check at night in we were told that the restaurant was fully booked and there were no options to dine in the hotel but we could order a takeaway. Grand building from the outside in open grounds but really needing investment as hotel looked tired

A lovely Cheshire property in the country. A great place to relax or visit the local villages.

Quick & efficient check in. Friendly and professional. Really impressed- festive and fancy!

Overall there was a lack of attention to detail. There was a blue line from the top to the bottom of the television and the towel in the bathroom had a very large rip on it. There was no water provided which was surprising for this standard of hotel.

Restaurant service fantastic or slow, no happy medium, menu expensive for what you get

Awful experience. Restaurant service a appalling, none of the staff have any interest. Food is average at best. Complaints were acknowledged and ignored.
