酒店在西貢的位置非常好，旁邊就是歌劇院（看AO show），正對面有點都德，中原咖啡，附近的街道（步行5分鐘範圍內）還有其他大眾點評口碑餐廳（中餐、越餐），雙層觀光巴士上車點，以及網紅咖啡等等。基本上如果衹靠走路，從酒店出發也能夠把西貢市中心的那一圈景點逛下來。 另外酒店的早餐也還是很不錯的。入住的兩天早餐我分別嘗試了酒店的牛肉pho以及順化pho，感覺一點也不比外面的小食店遜色。 不過酒店的泳池比較小，而且水是鹹的（感覺應該是用海水凈化的）。遊的人並不多但水質看上去不是特別乾淨。

酒店街對面10米就是大劇院（如圖），處於很市中心地段。 但因為此，入住兩晚，21樓，第一晚半夜11點還可以聽到外面音樂聲音，第二天早上7點左右就聽到外面很大的音樂聲。第三天早上5點半外面就開始很大音樂聲，原來是當地馬拉松！因為熱，很早就開始奏樂！21層樓感覺比屋裡電視聲還大（沒有打開任何窗户和門的情況下）。 感覺屋子都在震動。 要有心臟病肯定受不了。 所以要想安靜睡眠的話，這個酒店非常不建議。隔音效果很差！另外，酒店內用餐比外面貴很多。周邊到處都是餐館，會便宜不少。 酒店客房倒是乾淨，服務也還可以。沒有特別熱情但也沒有歧視。

訂了在這家酒店住3晚，就是因為淘它的位置優越，離各個景點都不太遠。濱城巿場就在酒店門口左邊。前台職員很有禮貌，其他的包括樓層員工及門前保安等面上都掛着微笑及熱情。 起初看到評論説房間面積小，進房後就把這疑慮消除。房間衞生乾淨。 總體來説非常滿意👍

I stayed at GK Central Hotel for 2 nights in HCMC, and I can recommend to stay here, if you need an ok, cheap place to stay with a perfect location for getting around in central HCMC/Saigon. The room was comfortable and clean, however quite small (and much smaller than the impressions from the photos), and the window faced a court yard to a school, so there was a lot of noise from the school children in the daytime (but we were hardly there, but out and exploring the city, so didn't matter). The breakfast was a bit so-so, and the breakfast room very crowded, we had troubles finding a place to sit on the second day. However, I must give credit to the staff at the hotel who were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming, so this was a huge plus for us.

We stayed here 2N at the start & 2N at the end of our 12D tour. Each time the hotel bellhop was ready to assist us. Cannot say the same for the Reception staff. The 2nd time we were even given a room that we could not even lock and after waiting for some time and still not allocated a new room, we insisted that we be given one asap and they had no choice but to upgrade us. No tourist information was also given and when we asked for a map, they flipped through files and then said that there was none left. Surely, they could photocopy one from their file. We then asked directions to the river and all they told us was that it was too far to walk. We told them we had looked it up before we came to Vietnam and it was within walking distance. It is less than 2km away. The good points of the hotel is that it is very conveniently located opposite Ben Thanh Market and within walking distance to the river, Saigon Opera House and the Saigon Centre/Takashimaya where there were plenty of food choices. The buffet breakfast is also good enough with both Western (scrambled eggs/sausages/ham/salad/plain pastries) and Asian (congee/soup/rice with veg/fish/meat), a fruit juice/tea/coffee/fruits/yoghurt. Just be warned that the hotel's entry is via a flight of stairs. Hence, not suitable for those requiring wheelchair access or the very elderly.

First impressions were not good. Most unfriendly staff I encountered in the whole country. Not hostile -just indifferent, and not very willing to accommodate special requests. Can I get an early check in? Nope. Maybe 30 minutes early. I was there at 1 and checkin is at 2. Can I get a late checkout just for an hour? Nope. Half hour max, or we have to charge you. First room they gave me -on the second floor -had a window to a... wall. What's the point then? Nothing available higher. No balcony rooms available either. Only when I swore that it would be just me in the room, then they suddenly managed to find a room with a 6th floor balcony. I get the impression that the receptionist girl would rather be just about anywhere else. I didn't expect much from breakfast, and my expectations were definitely met. OTOH... The second room, the one on the 6th floor with the balcony, was actually not bad. Once you get over the hard beds, that is. The A/C was not blowing directly on the bed, and direction could be adjusted manually. Big, big plus. And the best thing is the location. I mean, this hotel is literally smack dab in the middle of everything. Unless you're going for a day trip, there is literally nothing that you would want in HCMC that is more than 1 Km walking distance.

What A horrible experience staying here. Picking this hotel mainly because its is close to Benh Thenh market and some good review but how wrong we were. First, we were aware of the noise and poor sound insulation issue, we specifically request a QUIET ROOM even its a no window room upon booking and remain again the day before check in and again when checking in and what we got is a room with side window facing the main road and worse still ,a room exactly next to the elevator . And every time the elevator works , the sound of the motor can be heard clearly. If all the rooms have windows facing the main road and nothing can be done, allocating a room next to the elevator shows that the staffs do not care about your request and just simply allocate room as they wish. To add salt to the wound, our room and bathroom was like an oven upon entering, it takes a few hours for the aircon to cool off the room, that already close to midnight. and the horror do not end yet, The sound insulation was so poor that every time the room above of you use the bathroom, the sound of the flowing water feel was so loud like its gonna splash on you. A call to the reception to query about this and we waited for ages for someone to come over to check the issue buy nobody turned up. We hardly have any sIeep . We have been travelling extensively and this is the worst experience we ever encountered.

Very modern, new, clean, and neat hotel. Nice balcony for the Family Room. Bathroom comes with rainforest shower that is strong. Room has a flat screen TV, mini fridge, and safe. Many eateries just downstairs the hotel, including Xoi Ga Ut Map Number One (famous for sticky chicken rice), Bun Rieu Ganh (famous for tomato soup noodles), Ben Thanh Market with lots of Vietnamese food options, and the Japanese restaurants along a certain street. Convenience Store Circle K is downstairs the hotel. Many places of interest within walking distance of this hotel eg Takashimaya, Notre Dame Cathedral, HCMC Post Office, Independence Palace, War Raments Museum. Very friendly and helpful hotel security staff and front desk staff. We were served a vet nice welcome drink that tasted like lime juice. Hotel rates are very value for money. Highly recommend to stay here!

I have a business trip in Jan 2023 for a week. I booked 6 nights to stay in this hotel which is just next to Ben Thành Market. The hotel is clean and comfortable. But the shower knob is difficult to turn. Staff is ok. The location is very good for money exchange. The price is very reasonable. I was arranged at lower floor, it was a bit noisy. If you are looking for a hotel in Quan 1. Recommended but please ask for higher floor.

我們喜歡我們在光環酒店的住宿。在行動的核心位置找不到更好的地方。馬路對面是迎合西方人的街頭食品市場,中心5到10分鐘即可到達所有主要景點。戰爭博物館,聖母院,布維恩街,比特索建築,和本 Thanh 市場兩分鐘路程。工作人員很棒,細心,快速解決任何問題。早餐正在填補。如果一個大羣體在或個人安靜,可以自助餐。選擇很小,但適合預算。我豎起兩個拇指,回到越南肯定會再次入住。七樓的Wifi沒用,但我的手機有些問題。

Just a few steps away from the lively ben thanh market. Wonderful night life surrounded by many cafes, massage places and good food options. There are traffic lights in this area making it easy and safe to cross the streets. But disappointed that the hotel lobby isn't air conditioned and that 1 of the 2 showers in each of the connecting rooms doesn't come with hot water. Only 2 small bottles of water free, it wasn't clear and they charged for the rest :/
