Very enjoyable stay. I’m 6ft 2, not that I go on about it but I managed okay in the hubs with a good amount of room. You do have to take turns getting dressed though. Bed were comfortable and provided gowns/towels for a shower etc. Shower areas were clean, body wash and lotion smelt unreal! Check-in/self service idea is brilliant as it limits social interaction, big fan. €2.25 for good coffee, a cat called Herman and beer for €4 which you bang on a wristband and pay at the end when you check-out. Only criticism is 3pm check-in but there’s lockers so chuck your gear in there, go out to town via a tram and bosh, all done. Food near by we discovered De Hallen on the last day which is a shame but recommend that. Don’t go to Dim Sum Thing, well average. Use the trams, really easy. Tap your Apple Pay in and out, assuming you’re not prehistoric and own an android that is! Go get cultured..

I read a lot of poor reviews before coming here so my expectations were low but this hotel surprised me very pleasantly! The location is absolutely amazing as the other reviews say, literally a 5 minute walk to the Dam and so many cafes, restaurants, shops etc. are very close. The room was surprisingly spacious for what we expected, you can comfortably move around and store your stuff even with 3 beds. The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy and our sheets and towels were changed every day, even on a Sunday. Beds were very comfortable and there are blackout curtains so sleeping was no problem. There was no AC as the hotel stated but the temperature in the room was perfectly pleasant, only one day was hot because the weather was warmer in Amsterdam but it was manageable. We didn’t have any problems with bugs in the room even with keeping our windows open the entire day. Yes, there is noise coming from the street but honestly what do you expect from a hotel in the heart of the city. Apart from that there wasn’t any noise from other rooms, it felt as if we were alone on the floor. The only downside are 3 very steep and narrow sets of stairs but we came here expecting them (again, you’re coming to Amsterdam you should know how buildings here work) so it wasn’t too bad. The staff was really friendly and approachable, always greeted us and helped. Overall, if you want to find cheap accommodations in the middle of Amsterdam this is ideal, highly recommend 👍

Easy to get to by bus 397 from airport. Get off at Concertgebouw and walk around the building to get to hotel. Very well located, with lots of tourist spots within walking distance. Supermarket is across the main road which is open from 8am-10pm. Very friendly welcome from staff and help given when requested eg finding a sports bar for the football!! WiFi worked and were given a remote with our room keycards for the tv. Room was clean, shower worked well and handwash/shower gel attached to wall. Fresh towels and bin emptied every day. It was very hot but we just opened the window, when in the room. Room is very small with bunk bed, table and private shower room but we only used it to sleep so it did us fine. 6 sockets and handy usb sockets beside both bunk beds. Really thin walls and some disrespectful guests who made a racket til the early hours. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone on a budget.

We arrived early (about 11.30am) to leave our bags but we were kindly offered a room that was available straight away which was very kind. Our room was clean and spacious. Nice clean linen and comfy beds with a nice view of the Main Street. Air con/heating worked well. No street noise at night that I noticed although we were on the 4th floor. All staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Lovely free coffee in reception area. Great budget hotel in an excellent location. Will definitely stay here again

I had an amazing stay at the Bee Hostel. Everything was clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff were all very accommodating, kind and helpful! Getting around Amsterdam was easy with the Metro being close by. There were grocery stores and restaurants all over too. The only thing that was inconvenient was that there were no laundry services on site. But I knew this going in and the staff provided me with a list of places I could go for laundry services. Would 100% recommend the Bee Hostel to any travelers, whether solo or with friends.

Wonderful staff ❤️ we stayed for 2 nights, yes it’s old and has lots of stairs so if you have mobility issues (like we did) it’s not for you. We booked this not realising how steep or unpractical it is, again my fault for not checking but my god the man at the desk (I’m so sorry I forgot your name) went ABOVE AND BEYOND! To accommodate us! He took all the stress away and made us feel like family and made us comfortable. We stayed in a twin with shared bathroom it was hot (26c) with a fan & window but it didn’t do much but it was okay, dated but can’t complain as we didn’t pay a lot. We slept well, no noise at the back, the shared bathrooms are ok. The hotel is in a good location, good selection of food and bars around! I would absolutely stay here again! We didn’t have breakfast but every day we were welcomed and helped whenever needed, our mobility walker was allowed to be left in luggage area whenever we needed it! What a lovely hotel & staff. If you like the history of the buildings and the architecture then wow this is a stunner the floors/stairs & decor is just what I love but I know it is dated but I thought it was perfect and fit for character. Mother in law stayed in a comfort double and it was so nice and fresh, view wasn’t the best but again, we didn’t pay a lot so we were happy with it, again we needed a lower room so we’re so happy for the help and appreciated anything we got! Stayed at Easy hotels, and as how the name already says: Easy. Very good location close to the Bijlmer Station and near a lot of shops and convenience stores a perfect way to spend your time.
