卡茲別吉高山休息室旅館(Alpine Lounge Kazbegi)

The dining room and terrace of the hotel is breathtaking by having wide views of mountains. Staff at reception are great: always polite and smiling. Rooms and other areas seem stylish in design but there are some problems. First: lack of sound isolation is disturbing. We woke up a lot of times in the night by noises coming from corridor and the other rooms. Second: room design is not functional. There are only two plugs in the room, and their places are very odd, like behind the beds.. etc. Even the bedside lamps and TV are left unplugged because all of them can not be plugged at the same time. The situation becomes more complicated when you want to charge your phones.

Someone has clearly spent a lot of time, energy and money creating a small hotel with a really nice interior design. Having done the hard work, the overall experience was let down by the simpler things. The manager (owner?) seemed completely disinterested, never a smile. It was like we were an inconvenience that he was barely tolerating. The food was fine but it was really expensive by Georgian standards. Another night we ate round the corner at Rooms Hotel. Now that is a stunning property and its perfectly fair that it is rather more expensive to stay there. But we ate there as non-guests and the food was markedly better and cheaper than Alpine Lounge. Even a coffee was cheaper there than at AL. I would suggest that if you don't want to walk into town you simply eat at Rooms each night and don't bother with AL. The breakfast at AL was good the first day, then the 2nd day maybe they had fewer guests so the buffet was gone and instead we had a smaller selection on our table. Was it our fault that they didn't have more guests?! Maybe too many people had read reviews like this and gone elsewhere?

Просто замечательный ресторан с изумительной кухней, отличным вином и самое главное - террасой с видом на Казбек! Однозначно рекомендую! Цены, конечно, выше средних, но чем выше вы поднимаетесь в горы, тем выше цены. )) Не планировали с друзьями здесь обедать, но завернули, увидев террасу и вид с нее. Могу сказать, что готовят очень вкусно! Все что мы пробовали, заслуживает похвалы. Это и чакапули, и хинкали, и салат, и шашлык, и десерт! Боже, кажется, я попала в рай!
