大熊酒店(The Bear Hotel)

A nice little hotel with bar and restaurant, decent breakfast , really offering a nice choice of traditional or lite meal. Clean , helpful staff, especially the handyman who made sure i had a fan in my room. Small rooms but comfortable , just a bit too stuffy in the hot weather. All in all a satisfactory pleasant place to stay

To be fair, we stayed at The Bear a few weeks previous and the room was much better but this time it was grim. When we arrived, we were directed to a room that was still occupied (could have been very embarrassing but fortunately they weren't there). We were then allocated a different room which was dark and drab and looked like it had been furnished from the local charity shop. The shower was either dirty or had black mould. All in all, not a great experience and we won't be going back. Breakfast was great and we had a friendly waitress but that was the first time that we felt like anybody wanted us to be there.

So stellt man sich ein englisches Hotel vor. Filme aus den 60 er kann man sofort hier drehen. Toll und ein echtes Erlebnis.

We have stayed at the Bear a few times and have always been made welcome.We have motorcycles that we can park at the rear of the hotel for security.

We enjoyed our stay at The Bear. Our room was comfortable and heated up quickly when we put the radiator on. The shower was powerful and easy to control. Our only disappoin**ent was that there was not a cooked breakfast due to staff shortages, but the continental breakfast was sufficient and we did not go short. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Room very comfortable, quiet and decent size. TV was not working, but no big deal. Staff super-friendly. Restaurant definitely worth taking advantage of. Very nice breakfast.

I thought the room I was in was badly decorated and looked very tired and sad. Certainly nothing near the ad. Bathroom was better with tiling, but no care forfinishing touches, which is a shame. Lots of internal noise intermittently from pipes(?) water. Heating. Staff helpful when approached. Breakfast also nice, with cheerful staff.

Good location with free parking after 18.00 in the public car parks. Breakfast is amazing and should be considered when comparing prices.
