I would strongly advise not to stay at this hotel! Upon checking out of the hotel I walked passed the cleaning trolley to see a used toilet brush with the clean glasses and mugs - absolutely disgusting I would never stay at a Premier Inn Hotel again!! I will be reporting to environmental health!!

It was a very good venue, close to the town, good access into London. The food was good and the staff very friendly. Theresa was very helpful and full of local information about local venues and things to see. I would recommend it to friends and family.

The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned there was marks on the seat on the rim and in the bowl also there was money spiders everywhere cobwebs in and around the lampshades and secondly the shower never stayed the same temperature it would go in cycles of being scorching hot to freezing cold constantly even if you don't touch the tap

Front desk staff (both day & evening) quickly resolve any issues & have much local knowledge. John was very helpful both pre-stay & pre-departure. The adjoining Beefeater is scheduled for imminent closure. Presumably an ongoing service will be provided for on-site hot meals (e.g. Breakfast & Dinner).

It was a great location for what I wanted, but the room was excessively hot and the windows didn't open; the shower head wouldn't stay up and the water was either freezing or scalding and varied between the two in a tortuous cycle. The Beefeater next door was dire - the staff were rude, the burger bun was burnt black and they had ran out of 90% of the menu.

Cannot fault this place from the welcome at reception by lovely Seema to the spotless rooms. Every single member of staff are helpful and accommodating

Check in was simple and staff friendly. Room was clean and quiet, overlooking the sports centre which was perfect as I'm a light sleeper. Breakfast was buffet style and was hot, plentiful and tasty with staff regularly filling everything up. Overall very good stay and will go again to this hotel

Just checked into this hotel and asked politely if I could have a top floor room.. I was told that the hotel was full and the he couldn’t swap our room(didn’t even look at his computer). A quick check on the website and strangely they are still taking bookings for tonight. Considering that we come here regularly and there has never been an issue in the past I am very disappointed.

Stayed over the Easter weekend with a toddler and couldn't fault this hotel. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly and polite. Receptionists actively engage with guests and wave hello and goodbye. Our most standout moment was at breakfast on Easter Saturday (the lady wearing the purple tshirt) who couldn't have been more helpful, offering to heat up pancakes for our little one and much more. She is an amazing asset to the hotel and was brilliant with all of the guests, even ones that weren't being quite so nice to her. Room was clean and quiet. Location of the hotel is great too, a short walk into the town centre and easy access to Hatfield and beyond. Will definitely be returning!

Nice location, friendly staff. Quite busy at breakfast time but reasonably quiet at night. Lovely relaxing evening meal after a busy day. I had the meal package. Good wifi connection, I was able to do some work.

Highly recommend property was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. I driven 200 miles and wanted a good nights rest as I had another 150 to do the next day. Had a good breakfast in the morning and felt well rested for travelling onward. Would recommend this hotel all day long

Great stay The hotel reception staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We stayed in a standard family room which was great, nice comfortable beds, lovely bathroom, large tv on the wall, tea & coffee Making facilities, nice and warm but there was a large fan if you needed it. The room was very clean. The beefeater restaurant attached was wonderful, the staff were so lovely and the food was amazing, the following morning breakfast was fantastic choice, from fresh pastries, pancakes, crumpets, fruit, yogurt, cereals and toast. Lots of jams, and other spread and a brilliant choice of cooked items and it wasn’t too much trouble to make me 2 freshly perfectly cooked poached eggs. It really was a great night away.

I’ve been to a number of Premier Inns over the years and sadly this was a bit of a let down. The interior is looking tired. The heating in my room was broken- the staff were helpful and provided an electric radiator. Bar/restaurant was busy with too few staff and could not serve any draught drinks the night I stayed so I ended up getting my dinner from the service station across the road. At breakfast, too few staff- I was directed to a table that hadn’t been cleared so ended up having to find somewhere else to eat. Bed was comfortable and I had a good night’s sleep but next time I’m in the area I’ll look elsewhere
