天堂遺址評價

明堂天堂景區，是昔日女皇武則天理政、禮佛、生活的重要場所，是女皇武則天在神都洛陽的政治權力中心，明堂是唐洛陽紫微城正殿，號稱“萬象神宮”，天堂是武則天的御用禮佛堂。明堂是儒家的禮制建築，為古代帝王明政教之場所，凡祭祀、朝會、慶賞、選士等大禮典均在此舉行。 逛完了順便逛一下它的姐妹景區應天門、九洲城、上陽宮、麗景門，附近還有白馬寺、龍門石窟、洛邑古城、山陝會館、大運河博物館、天子駕六博物館、民俗博物館、洛陽博物館、古墓博物館、漢光武帝陵、白馬負圖寺、王城公園、西苑公園……可以逛。

天堂基址僅存台基基礎，其東面與宮城西步廊相連，北面與東西向步廊房相接，西面有磚鋪散水並有寬4.33米的東西向步廊與其他建築相連。台基略呈方形，南北寬77.7米，東西寬69.15米。
