The impregnable pass is as solid as iron, and now I start anew from the beginning
- Juyong Pass.
Juyong Pass Great Wall is located in Juyongguan Village, Nankou Town, Changping District, Beijing, and is a cultural tourism area dominated by historical architectural landscapes. As an important pass of the Great Wall, Juyong Pass has been known since ancient times as 'the First Impregnable Pass under Heaven' and is referred to as the 'Northern Gate of the Yang State'. Here are some introductions about Juyong Pass:
• Historical Evolution: The construction of Juyong Pass Great Wall began in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the existing main ruins were built during the Ming Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, its military defense value diminished, and it was gradually abandoned. After the establishment of New China, the Juyong Pass Great Wall was rebuilt and repaired in the development and protection of the Great Wall, and a series of restoration and reconstruction works have been carried out since the 21st century, preserving it relatively intact.
• Architectural Style: The walls of Juyong Pass Great Wall vary greatly in width, height, and undulation, adopting a circular enclosed architectural form, characterized by strong military defense features, and the architectural complex has a variety of styles.
• Main Attractions: Including Yuntai (Cloud Platform), Dianjiangtai (Pointing General Platform), the ancient city wall, Guandi Temple, and Juyong Verdant Stacks.
• Scenic Area Information: Juyong Pass is open all year round from 06:30 to 18:00. The ticket offices at parking lots 1 and 3 operate from 06:30 to 17:30, and those at parking lots 2 and 4 from 08:30 to 16:30. The ticket price for the scenic area is 35 yuan per person.
Juyong Pass Great Wall
Great Wall of China was in my bucket list! There are options to get to different parts of it, don’t be greedy, better spend extra 100¥ and go by a private bus to an area with less tourists. DON’T go there during Chinese National Holidays.
Very good, I have taken the children several times, it is a bit cloudy, and the photo on sunny days is more beautiful. This time the west side of the climb was particularly steep, and it returned to the middle. It was also absolutely amazing when the train passed from the east.
The right is a slow slope, which is better to climb; the left is very steep and the slope is very large. We chose the right side, about an hour to the top, there are old trains driving up and down, very good, very recommended. The only thing to note is that the traffic back to the city is more inconvenient.
