this place in Fuzhou has a blend of ancient and modern culture and one get lost in the array of shops selling artifacts and local cuisine without realizing the time passing by. worth every minute spent there. this place translates to three lanes and 7 alleys and it is not possible to cover the place in one day. minimum two days recommended to enjoy this place at easy pace.
The ancient city is well preserved with modern amenities and traditional food located within. Lookout for the coolest buildings of Starbucks, Haagen Das and McDonalds; the people are honest and friendly. ask for directions and you will be assisted well. Also I left an item at the cashier counter of a souvenir shop and the shopkeeper sought me out two blocks down to return the item.
3 lanes and seven alleys located right in the middle of Fuzhou city, offers one of the best ancient and yet historical perspective of the city. From the good environment, the friendly local people, the food(Fuzhou specialities) to the old wodden structural architecture was all amazing. I’d recommend this if you’re looking for the real local experience of Fuzhou.
