The Old Dao Hall of Hokkaido, located in the center of Sapporo City, was originally the highest administrative building of Hokkaido, built in 1888. This red brick Baroque style building is a symbol of the pioneering era of Hokkaido, and is cordially called "Red Brick House" by the local people. It was snowing heavily. Western-style red brick buildings and snow were good materials for photography. The Pavilion displays some information about the old hall period, which is free to visit.
