Since the Hong Kong High Speed Rail launched, travelling between Mainland China and Hong Kong has become easier than ever. For families on the go with kids, understanding the rules and deals for children’s tickets is essential.
Trip.com will walk you through the types of child tickets available, their prices, how to buy them, and all the key things to know—so you and your little one can enjoy a budget-friendly, seamless high-speed rail adventure.
Child tickets for the Hong Kong High-Speed Rail apply to children aged 6 to 14. A child’s age is determined on the date of travel.
Good to know: each passenger aged 18 or over may bring one child under 6 to travel for free, provided the child does not occupy a separate seat.
If that child needs their own seat, a child ticket must be purchased; and if you’re travelling with more than one child under 6, a child ticket is required for each additional child.
