I would not recommend this property based off of the (lack of) customer service at the front desk during check in. I booked a room here weeks in advance because I have always had a wonderful experience at Westin hotels in the past. After traveling over 2,000 miles, and arriving to the hotel late (10:00 pm), I was told that “they over-booked the hotel” and didn’t have a room for me. I was told to go “right next door” to the Marriott (which was actually a few blocks over) as they could accommodate me. I was not offered a discount let alone a refund. The customer service was more than lacking and I was hardly given an apology for the great inconvenience. We actually had to get our car back from the valet and reload our suitcases to go to the other hotel. The Marriott was clearly an older hotel, but the staff was amazing and went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable and to remedy our negative first impression of Chattanooga. I highly recommend the Marriott for their friendly staff while I definitely cannot do the same for the Westin.
