My wife and I have been using this hotel up to Covid for 12 years, each year on booking we have requested the same room as it faced the car park and we keep a ready eye on our car. Until Covid I would have had no hesitation in recommending the Hotel. On July 30 we arrived and was curtly told all rooms were booked and we were on the next floor, which we accepted with reservations. We booked a table and the meals that were served were appalling, no apology was forthcoming but on check out they graciously discounted the costs of the food. On arrival this evening, again the room requested was not available and were given a room over the pool side where there was a 40 something pumping out the sort of music which resulted in us not taking dinner. The reception simply said I do not understand I cannot speak English so she was next to useless, however after a lot of exchanges we were moved to a room overlooking the car park, peace rains. The bed linen was dirty, no courtesy bottled water even though they provide in in July and Novotel in Colmar provided Spring and still water. Time to select an alternative hotel for next year and anyone considering such a stay do reconsider.
