This route is less than 3 kilometers long, yet it allows you to see the essence of Macau~ 🏛️Penha Chapel This white chapel located on the top of Penha Hill is incredibly photogenic! It's recommended to come in the morning when the sunlight shining through the stained glass is especially beautiful. Don't forget to admire the Macau Tower and the cross-sea bridge from the side observation deck – the view is absolutely stunning! Opening hours: 7:00-18:00 ⛩️A-Ma Temple A 15-minute walk downhill will take you to Macau's oldest temple. It's a bustling center of sea goddess worship, and the sight of delivery riders passing by the entrance adds a touch of everyday life! The Portuguese-style cobblestone path in front of the temple and the red temple gate create an interesting contrast. Opening hours: 8:00-18:00 🏯Mandarin's House Walk north for 10 minutes from A-Ma Temple, and you'll reach this Lingnan-style mansion, the largest existing residential complex in Macau. The blue bricks and gray tiles, paired with Western-style louvered windows, showcase a blend of East and West that's worth savoring. It's closed on Tuesdays, so don't make a wasted trip~ 💡Practical Tips: 1. Wear comfortable shoes! Macau Peninsula has many uphill and downhill cobblestone paths. 2. From Penha Chapel to A-Ma Temple, it's recommended to walk along Rua da Penha, where you'll find surprising murals along the way. 3. Lilau Square, behind Mandarin's House, is perfect for artistic photos. 4. You'll encounter several old-fashioned bakeries along the way; consider buying some almond cookies as souvenirs.
