To avoid the crowds, I chose a leisurely day to visit the newly opened Mushroom Hot Pot Restaurant in the city with a close friend. Although it wasn't a holiday, the restaurant was nearly full. The quill mushrooms were interestingly shaped, the porcini mushrooms were plump, the golden ear mushrooms were translucent, the chanterelle mushrooms were a delicate yellow, and the deer antler mushrooms were elegant… each of the nine delicacies had its own unique character. Briefly dip the mushrooms in boiling broth, allowing them to absorb the flavors. They become smooth yet crisp on the palate, with distinct layers of freshness, as if the essence of an entire misty forest is gathered in a single bite. Served with several side dishes of seasonal vegetables and handmade bean products, the meal is a perfect balance of meat and vegetables, and the broth becomes richer and more flavorful as it simmers. The waiter gently introduces the different types of mushrooms and the best time to enjoy them, demonstrating attention to detail. This culinary journey is not merely a feast for the palate, but a short culinary adventure from the city to the mountains. At an affordable price, one receives nature's bounty, leaving both body and soul satisfied and with a lingering aftertaste.
