I am very happy with the cleanliness and the service of the hotel.
Started with the promptness of Peggy, she helped prepared the room. Though there was no baby bathtub, they provided bathtub cover for extra cleanliness. We used that and bathed baby in the basin. All good. Suggested by Peggy.
It was nerve racking to have children rides, claw machines and a play room when you are dealing with three older kids, but Tom was very helpful. The hotel shared some coins with the kids and Tom even helped catch the soft toys at the claw machines.
Finally Joy was very helpful in the checked in and checked out process. She and her team helped us with our delivery as we needed a China number.
We enjoyed the stay thoroughly.
Not deserving of a star drop, but we didn’t realised our eldest was so tall, she needed to get a full adult breakfast ticket. We can only get discounted breakfast tickets the day before. So ended paying more for our eldest breakfast. A little inflexible, but I didn’t let that affect the trip.

The surroundings are very lively. The hotel itself is very clean and well-maintained. When I first checked in, I found the lighting to be a bit dim, but the hotel immediately offered to switch my room. Later, I thought that warmer lighting is better for sleep, so I decided to stay. The room provided an exceptionally peaceful sleep. The bathroom's wet and dry areas were completely separated, the smart toilet and rainforest shower were incredibly comfortable to use, the toiletries had a fresh scent, and even hidden corners were spotlessly clean.
The breakfast selection was super rich, with Chinese congee and pastries, and Western bread and coffee – everything you could want. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The daily room cleaning was also very meticulous, with warmth evident in every detail.

Due to work, I extended my stay for another night. It was super convenient that Stella at the front desk helped update my room card, and I also saw my old friend, Supervisor Mamara, who is always so kind. My original room was particularly smooth, and room service was prompt, tidying up the room without disturbing my work or rest! I was out entertaining a lot this time, so I didn't get a chance to enjoy a drink at the hotel, but I still think their wine selection is excellent. They even had a Cote du Rhône, a wine I used to really like when I lived in Switzerland – highly recommend it! They were also very accommodating with a late checkout until 2 PM. The young lady at the front desk who checked me in around 3 PM was very professional and exceptionally polite. The hotel room was spacious, and the bed was huge. It's an older hotel, which is perfectly understandable, and for just an overnight stay, I think it was comfortable and totally fine.
However, I really need to mention the hotel breakfast, which I believe needs significant improvement. Firstly, there's very little variety. Secondly, it seemed unhygienic or perhaps the food wasn't fresh... My husband and I both got diarrhea after eating breakfast and returning to our room! My stomach started hurting in the elevator on the way back to the room after breakfast, and I almost didn't make it to the toilet in time. Before eating, we were both perfectly fine with no discomfort, as we always use the restroom after waking up in the morning.
I distinctly remember everything I ate for breakfast, and I didn't even eat much! I had a small bowl of dace fish, peanut, and pork bone congee, two small pieces of boiled corn, a tea egg, two small cups of hot milk, a small cup of hot blackberry tea, a little vegetable salad, and four small multigrain buns (I gave one to my husband). The private beach also had a dedicated shuttle service. Both the buffet dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh food; we were pleasantly surprised to find oysters and grilled skewers at dinner. But what truly impressed me the most was the indoor swimming pool. The water was crystal clear, and the lifeguard was very attentive. Aside from the hotel being a bit older, everything else was great. The location is super convenient, very close to the border crossing, shopping malls, and the train station. The hotel's restaurants are a big highlight, especially the buffet, with 8 different dining options. The facilities are well-maintained and don't show their 16 years of age. Today, the hotel just put up its Christmas floral decorations, which really added to the festive atmosphere. The surrounding scenery is also lovely; we enjoyed the Hong Kong mountain views during the day and the city skyline at night. Stayed for two nights, here's my review!
First, the pros:
1. The location is absolutely unbeatable! The hotel has direct access to Yitian Holiday Plaza, and you're right at the mall and subway downstairs. It's a 5-minute walk to Window of the World/Happy Valley, which saves so much energy when you're taking kids on rides. Plus, you can watch the fireworks display from your room's balcony at night – my kids were screaming with excitement!
2. The service deserves a big thumbs-up!
3. Little perks: They restock 6 glass bottles of mineral water in the room daily. The turndown service leaves little bear cookies that are quite tasty, and breakfast goes until 11 AM, which is great for late sleepers!
Now for a couple of complaints:
1. The facilities are definitely showing their age… The carpet edges are a bit frayed, and the bathtub drains a bit slowly, but the bedding is truly comfortable! Westin’s signature 'Heavenly Bed' lives up to its name – I was asleep in seconds.
2. Soundproofing is so-so. We stayed on the Window of the World side, and the park announcements during the day plus traffic noise at night were a bit loud. Light sleepers should request a room in the annex facing the mall.
3. Breakfast during peak hours means a scramble for seats! It gets super crowded after 9 AM, and the sausages were still half-frozen… I recommend going before 8:30 AM or just heading downstairs to the mall for dim sum – more options and cheaper too!
Summary:
It might be old, but the location and service are fantastic! Especially for families with kids visiting the amusement parks, for just over 1000 yuan, being able to go back to the hotel and relax whenever you want – what more could you ask for? First off, the service is truly 'beyond words'! From the moment I stepped out of the taxi, a smartly dressed young man at the entrance quickly came to help with my luggage. He kept saying, 'Teacher, are you tired?' which really warmed my heart. The ladies at the front desk handling check-in were very presentable, efficient, and didn't waste any time. They got everything sorted for me in a flash, and their smiles never faded. Not fake smiles, mind you, but genuine ones that made me feel so comfortable. I casually asked about good places to eat nearby, and not only did they explain everything clearly, but they also gave me a small note with the restaurant names and directions. How thoughtful is that?
But that's not all. What touched me most was last night. I might have been a bit unwell due to the change of environment, feeling a bit off in my stomach. I called the front desk late at night to ask if they had any medicine. And guess what? In less than five minutes, a staff member not only brought hot water and medicine but also a bowl of warm millet porridge! They said the kitchen specially prepared it for me to soothe my stomach. My goodness, I was so moved at the time, I didn't know what to say. This level of service is truly 'one-sided enthusiasm' – they genuinely cared about me! Back home, only my own mother would think of something like this. This hotel treated me like family!
As for the facilities, it's a case of 'small but perfectly formed,' though it's actually quite grand! The bed in the room is fantastic! It's just the right firmness, feeling like you're floating on a cloud. I slept soundly until morning. The curtains close by themselves with a push of a button, sealing perfectly, not letting in a single ray of light. The bathroom is also very spacious, with a separate shower and toilet. The shower water is hot and strong, and standing under it washes away all the day's fatigue! And that big TV! I lay in bed watching Henan Opera; it was lovely! Although I don't use them much, the gym and swimming pool look very high-end and sparkling clean.
Then there's the cleanliness – it's 'as clear as crystal.' Upon entering the room, the floor, tables, and glass were spotless. I ran my hand over surfaces, and there wasn't a speck of dust. The bedsheets and duvet covers were pure white and smelled like they'd been sun-dried. The bathroom was also impeccably clean; the toilet was so shiny you could see your reflection, and the towels were soft and pristine. Staying here puts your mind at ease and makes you feel comfortable!
Finally, the ambiance is truly 'magnificent'! The hotel lobby has incredibly high ceilings, brightly lit, with crystal chandeliers so dazzling you can barely keep your eyes open, like a palace. I stayed on a high floor, and when I looked out the window, wow, Shenzhen's night view is truly amazing, with bright lights and bustling traffic. It's beautiful! The hotel's location is also excellent; it's convenient for everything, so you won't get lost.
In short: The Renaissance Shenzhen Luohu Hotel is truly outstanding! The service is heartfelt, the facilities are complete and comfortable, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the environment is luxurious. 100 points for being pet-friendly! I stayed in a suite alone with my mischievous dog, carrying a bunch of luggage and keeping my dog on a leash. I even brought a crate to avoid causing any cleaning difficulties for the hotel. Throughout my stay, the concierge and housekeeping staff were incredibly enthusiastic and offered tremendous help. Both the housekeeping and luggage-handling concierge staff were very friendly towards my dog. The hotel environment is excellent, with a large lawn in the South Wing and plenty of trash cans along the way, making it easy to dispose of pet waste immediately. This truly is Shenzhen's number one pet-friendly hotel.
However, it's a shame the front desk service needs improvement. I was waiting to check out with my dog. One front desk agent was assisting a guest, while another was on the phone complaining to someone about how busy they were and needing to quickly resolve some technical issue. I waited patiently in front of the velvet rope, expecting the agent to finish her call. Soon after, a third front desk agent, dressed in a uniform that suggested she might be a supervisor, appeared. None of the three agents even glanced in my direction. Suddenly, a woman cut in front of me to approach the third agent, and she was immediately assisted! Not one of the three agents bothered to look up at me. For a five-star hotel, shouldn't the front desk staff pay attention to the queue? I had to loudly point out that I was here first, and to my disbelief, they still served the line-cutter before attending to me. The concierge and housekeeping had provided such a satisfying experience, only for it to be ruined by the cold reception at check-out. This hotel's front desk clearly hasn't received the training expected of a five-star establishment. Before I even arrived, a hotel staff member reached out to me! The room was okay, but the facilities felt quite dated. Perhaps due to the weather, the room was very dim. I had originally planned to catch the sunset, but unfortunately, a cold front hit right when I had already booked, so I had no choice but to go. It's about a 50+ km drive from the city, which is quite remote. Plus, being off-season, there was nobody around, making it feel incredibly desolate, so the overall experience was pretty mediocre.
The breakfast was decent; the variety met expectations, but the quality of the food was just average. It was quite a departure from the Marriott hotels I've stayed at in the city, or other resort Marriotts in different cities. And there was no boxed yogurt!
Another thing: the bed and pillows weren't particularly comfortable. This was unlike any Marriott I've ever stayed in. Marriott brands are known for their comfortable bedding, but here, I woke up with back pain, and the pillows were hard! It might genuinely be due to how dated everything is. However, I do want to give a special shout-out to the concierge team member who gifted us a brand-new set of sand toys – that was a delightful surprise! And thanks to the all-day dining restaurant for giving us two extra egg tarts when we ordered two.
Despite all that, the hotel's garden facilities are quite good, and there are multiple swimming pools!

a) After charging $40 + taxes, they give $30 free meal voucher every day. After Day-1 i realised it was more economical to not use the $30 voucher. It gets more interesting when they tell you, that you cant use this $30 for breakfast.

b) One of the rudest In-room dining call you will ever attend. I asked what is XXXXX, revert: you should read about it, this is not in my job profile, I only take orders. Fab experience 😍
c) I requested that since i was lactose intolerant could the hotel be kind to deliver 1/4 cup of Almond milk, just enough for a cup of tea. I am told that is possible and then a full cup of milk with $10 + taxes = $13 is charged for simple request of Almond milk.
d) You are not eligible for even a single bottle of water in a so called 5star hotel or so.
e) Servicing the room was not in list, had to go twice over to reception to ensure that room no is added to list of rooms to be serviced in the day.
f) The Coffee machine wasnt working and one had to request for a simple electric kettle to warm water for tea/coffee.

I cannot say enough how great the stay at the Asia International Hotel. I arrived in a panic because I was 40RMB short for my long hour and a half taxi ride, but the concierge Ricky came out to the taxi and paid the remainder from his very own money. I was then able to exchange Australian dollars for Chinese RMB and pay Ricky back. Things like this do not happen. The whole staff were amazing and ever so helpful. I only stayed 1 night but the breakfast was absolutely so extensive and so enjoyable in the restaurant on the 45th floor where you could view a 360 view of the whole of Guangzhou. Hotel is linked to wanling mall, pass through a door and its the mall. And 1 lvl down (beside muji) is the shipaiqiao metro station. Walk pass the wanling malls starbucks, cross the road and u will be at Grandview mall, further down is parc central mall, and tee mall etc. All is within walking distance. There are many things to eat, be it restaurants or bakery. The cafe beside the hotel serves nice yogurt drink as well.

Had a really good stay here. Walkable from Guangzhou East train station, where you can take the High Speed Rail to many cities like Hong Kong and Chaozhou, where I took day trips out to.
Breakfast was abundant with east and west varieties. Totally delish, as dim sum options change everyday.
Had the opportunity to try out the massage - had deep tissue body and facial. Bliss. Be sure to ask for Lisa.
Great location. Easily accessible to CBD via taxi or Metro. Will certainly stay again!

We stayed for 2 nights as a family with two young children. The hotel was super convenient because it has a direct access from the lobby to the mall without going outside. The mall has wonderful selections on food and we got to try different food during our stay. We had a great view from the hotel room. Check in was quick. Guangzhou Baiyun Hotel has always been my top choice for accommodation, consistently leaving a good impression in all aspects. However, I have to air some grievances this time. Firstly, the hotel is replacing its elevators. Previously, there were three elevators serving the 25th floor where I stayed, but now there's only one, which is extremely inconvenient. The front desk staff mentioned that elevator #9 also goes to the 25th floor, but it's not a guest elevator and is very slow. Secondly, the in-room facilities are quite old and seem to have been poorly maintained. The electric kettle lid doesn't seal properly, leaving a gap. In the bathroom, it's very difficult to switch between the overhead shower and the lower faucet. Choosing Muliangzhuang Hotel in Huadu for this vacation was absolutely the right decision – it definitely deserves five stars!
The moment I stepped into the hotel, the strong Southeast Asian vibe instantly caught my eye. The lobby was surrounded by lush greenery, with stone paths underfoot and bamboo woven lamps overhead. It felt just like being on an overseas holiday, instantly putting me at ease. During check-in, the staff were warm and professional. They quickly got everything sorted for me and thoughtfully introduced the hotel's facilities and activities. My appreciation for the hotel instantly shot up.
My lake view room was absolutely fantastic! The room was spacious and bright, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered an unobstructed view of the picturesque lake and mountains outside, like a natural painting. The huge, soft bed ensured I had a great night's sleep. The bathroom design was also very thoughtful, with a separate wet and dry area, and an extra-large bathtub. After a tiring day, a soak in the tub melted all my fatigue away.
The hotel's amenities were also very extensive. The outdoor pool was crystal clear and beautifully designed, with sun loungers and parasols nearby. It was incredibly relaxing to sunbathe and swim there. The Muliang Qingquan Hot Spring is also a must-visit, offering several unique hot spring pools. After a soak, my skin felt noticeably better. For families with children, the outdoor kids' play area and indoor kids' club are a paradise. With a wide variety of play facilities, children can have endless fun.
The dining experience was also excellent. The buffet breakfast at Sui Shi Fang Western Restaurant offered a rich variety of options, including Chinese hot congee and steamed buns, as well as Western bread and bacon. Everything tasted great, setting me up for an energetic day. The Cantonese cuisine at Yang Chinese Restaurant was truly exceptional. The ingredients were fresh, and the cooking brought out wonderful flavors, making every dish unforgettable.
There are also many interesting places to visit around the hotel. European Town and Jiulong Lake Scenic Area are just a few minutes' drive away, perfect for sightseeing and photo opportunities. My therapeutic trip to Bishuiwan completely exceeded my expectations! The hotel is nestled in a tranquil valley in Conghua, surrounded by lush greenery, and the fresh air instantly washes away the fatigue of city life. The hot spring area is the biggest highlight, with dozens of different themed pools hidden within the gardens – red wine pools, traditional Chinese medicine pools, floral fragrant pools… I tried them all. Watching the starry sky while soaking in the steamy water, I felt my mind and body gently soothed.
The Quan Yue room I stayed in was spacious, bright, and clean, with a private hot tub in the courtyard. The bathroom fixtures were also very refined. What deserves the most praise is the service-mindedness of all the staff. My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard:
1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all;
2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again.
3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment.
I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort.

Congdu International is a beautiful estate nestled within the city. It's incredibly spacious, so you'll rely on golf carts to get around the grounds, otherwise, you'd be walking forever. This time, I stayed in a 109-square-meter Type A suite. The suite is quite luxurious and grand, consisting of a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet. My favorite part was the private outdoor garden with its pavilions, flowing water, and the sounds of birds and blooming flowers. The service was absolutely excellent. Before arrival, they called to ask about my preferences and estimated arrival time, ensuring the room was ready beforehand. Every time I called for a golf cart, it arrived promptly. The complimentary mini-bar drinks and fruit were plentiful – more than I could possibly consume. The Western section of the buffet breakfast was superb, with high-quality smoked salmon, corned beef, three types of cheese, and various mixed vegetables. You could also choose from different egg preparations. Since there weren't many people during my visit, the hot spring pools and indoor/outdoor swimming pools offered a great experience. The room facilities feel a bit above average for a typical five-star hotel, nothing particularly outstanding, but the service is genuinely excellent. They even provided emotional value. The bathtub is quite spacious, and the night view is also good, offering a partial view of the Canton Tower. Thumbs up! However, it's not a smart toilet, and honestly, people who stay in luxury hotels probably aren't used to flushing toilets manually. I hope they can install smart toilets.
To be fair, the emotional value really comes from the night view – being able to see the Canton Tower makes up for everything else. Even though there's some obstruction, the emotional value is still maximized, largely compensating for any shortcomings. The service that really impressed me was from Mia and Tina; I was very satisfied when I went downstairs to extend my stay, and their smiles were very sweet.

On the day we checked into the W Hotel, it was the day before the National Games started, so Guangzhou was packed, and the W was fully booked. At 3 PM, some rooms weren't even ready! Since I booked an executive room, I still had to wait, but the front desk was incredibly helpful! A big shoutout to Eleven, Duke, and Rebecca!
They let us leave our luggage at the front desk and go relax on the executive floor. The last three photos show the view from the 26th-floor executive lounge! We had some drinks, chatted, and our room was ready half an hour later! Our luggage was delivered right to our room! We had a wonderful stay in Guangzhou! The cocktails at the W Hotel are beautiful! Great value for money! They also have a live band! The pool view is fantastic! And I even took a photo with Miss Eleven at the end! To be honest, I've traveled a lot and stayed in many hotels, including several times in Guangzhou and at various hotels there. This time, I originally planned to book a hotel near Xiguan Grand House.
However, I unexpectedly stumbled upon a video of the Dongfang Hotel – China's first-ever star-rated hotel and the venue for the first Canton Fair. Considering I'd never experienced a hotel with that 90s Guangzhou vibe from TV, I decided to book the Dongfang Hotel. My overall experience this time was excellent, and my family was extremely satisfied.
First, the hotel has an impressive presence. It boasts the grandeur, history, and luxury of a five-star hotel, coupled with modern, high-quality service, facilities, and rooms. The lobby staff were incredibly warm and meticulous in their service. Seeing I had a child, they clearly explained all the hotel activities, such as the pool and Mid-Autumn parent-child events. I could really feel the front desk staff's patience, attention to detail, professionalism, and enthusiasm. Before booking, I requested a late check-out on Ctrip, and the hotel proactively offered it during check-in, which made me feel valued. All the staff I encountered at the hotel were very courteous, and the cleaning staff on my floor were also excellent. A big thumbs up to the hotel staff! 👍🏻
Second, the transportation is very convenient. Within a 5-minute walk, there are Metro Line 11 and Line 2, making it super easy to get anywhere. There's also a bus stop right outside the hotel, and taxis are readily available. Transportation is exceptionally convenient. Across from the hotel is the large shopping mall, Liuhua Center, making dining and shopping easy. Popular restaurants like Dian De and Nanhai Fishing Village are right next to the hotel, and the Southern Theater Command General Hospital is nearby – truly a versatile location.
Third, the room facilities are modern, the bedding is comfortable, the soundproofing is excellent, and the room is tidy and clean. The room also feels very spacious, and the conditions are top-notch.
Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations, and my entire family was very pleased. I will definitely stay here again on future trips to Guangzhou. I'm also leaving this review on Ctrip to give an honest opinion to everyone. It's truly an excellent hotel worth recommending.FromCAD 108

I stayed at Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou for one night and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was spacious, clean and beautifully designed, although the TV size and limited channel selection could be improved. I also received a complimentary room upgrade, which I appreciated, but the room was quite close to the tunnel, so some noise could still be heard at night.
The staff were detailed, friendly and very helpful throughout my stay. During checkout, the front desk even checked on my staying experience and noted down my feedback in their system for future stays, which I found thoughtful.
The location is excellent, directly connected to Taikoo Hui and the MRT station, which made getting around very convenient.
One downside was the spa voucher included in my stay package. Due to my tight schedule, I wasn’t able to use it, so I requested to exchange it for breakfast instead, but the hotel was unable to accommodate the request. It would be great if the voucher usage could be more flexible in the future.

I extended one night under a separate booking and informed the front desk in advance. Despite assurances, I was locked out of my room twice and had to go up and down multiple times—only to be told they hadn’t taken my credit card. On top of that, the shower gel wasn’t refilled. The management of this particular Holiday Inn could do much better in providing amenities such as a CLOCK. The hotel is poorly designed and in disrepair.
The counter space in my bathroom was practically non-existent. The placement of the desk and chair directly underneath the television is illogical.
Although the Holiday Inn is now owned and operated by IHG, that's no excuse to denigrate the reputation of this once great hotel chain. I will be traveling to Amarillo, Texas later on this month and staying at another Holiday Inn. I dare say, that the look and feel of the facility will be a 180 degree turn from the one in Chelsea.

We decided to change hotels from our original in hell's kitchen to this one close to the park. We stayed for 3 nights in march 2024. We had a twin room on the 6th floor. Room 650. The entrance is quite grand and the lobby is really big. We checked in around 1600 hours. It was easy and we were aware of the additional charges, tax , deposit and resort fee. We'd read the reviews about the lifts being busy and some out of order. This was not an issue for us. Easy enough to walk the 6 flights of stairs as necessary. The check in staff were friendly and polite. We asked for a kettle for our room. This was delivered as were tea bags, sugar and milk along with paper cups. The room was ok. The beds were a good size. The view was of the street. The windows opened. The bathroom looked ok too. It had a bath tub. I wanted a bath. The shower was in the bath. On the surface, everything looked clean enough. The decor was a bit tired. There was a safe in the closet. The bedside lights had usb sockets and plug sockets. Very useful.
Once we were settled we started to notice issues. The bath plug didn't close. It was a push down plug. I didn't get to have my bath! The walls in the bathroom were dirty. When the shower water dripped on the tiles you could see black mould running down and into the bath tub. The mirror in the bathroom was peeling. We saw a bug running across the table area! We spoke with the cleaning staff and they said they would clean up the dirty tiles. We also spoke with reception. Someone was sent to our room to fix the plug in the bath tub. They didn't fix it. They removed the casing on the tub and just left it on the side. We reported this again and everything else we came across that was faulty or not acceptable. The staff were very polite and apologetic yet nothing actually got fixed. The edges of the room were really dirty.
The lounge area on the ground floor is really nice and the bar is well stocked. The loos though were not very clean and you did have to queue to get in to them. Access only with a room key.
The actual hotel is connected to the Manhattan Club Hotel. We used the bar on the 26th floor a couple of times. It was really nice.
Upon check out we reiterated the issues that we had and staff were very apologetic and returned our deposit and resort fee. Maybe that's why a resort fee is added to these hotels. You feel like you are getting something back when in fact I don't believe a resort fee is actually that fair. Are you paying for the use of a kettle? The bar? It is listed what the resort fee entitles you to. As I mentioned, I was aware of this.
Would I stay here again? Probably not, despite the great staff and fab location and cheap room rates. I understand there is a refit of the lifts going on. Not sure about cleaning and updating of the decor. Something needs to be done to improve this hotel. I think it was probably quite glamorous back in the day.FromCAD 136

Our stay at the Hengqin Bay Hotel was excellent. The shuttle bus service to and from the various parks was frequent, making travel arrangements flexible and convenient. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the staff were friendly and professional.
The room layout was well-designed and spacious. The king-size bed was comfortably firm, and the children's bed came with safety rails, which was reassuring. The bathroom had a children's bathtub set and special toiletries for kids, thoughtful details that we appreciated. The bedding was soft and clean, hot water supply was plentiful, and the Wi-Fi signal was strong and stable, providing a smooth user experience.

From October 1st to October 5th, 2025, I stayed in room 4507, a sea-view room. The room was excellent, very spacious and comfortable, and the sheets and towels were very clean. The staff were very friendly; they'd greet you with a ”good morning,” ”good afternoon,” or ”good evening,” whether they recognized you or not. When I called for an extra bed, it was brought up in less than ten minutes. Children over 12 even received two complimentary breakfasts. In the evening, they proactively came to the room to ask if we needed mineral water or room service. The sea-view room offered a superb view of the ocean, and as it was during the National Day celebrations, I could even watch the Macau Fireworks Display from bed. You could even see the Macau Tower and the sea view from the toilet! All in all, whether it's the facilities, the service, or the view, everything was top-notch. I'm a local Zhuhai resident, and I've spent many weekends at Star Carnival. During promotions, the RVs are a great deal, including breakfast for two and two tickets to the unpowered amusement park. We booked a BBQ grill for the evening and let the kids burn off energy at the unpowered park during the day. The weekend breakfast is actually a brunch, available until 2 PM ✌️. After a hearty meal, we played until evening, marking the end of a happy day.
When we went in late September, it was too hot, and the RV felt a bit damp. Now it's dry and cool, making the experience fantastic! The Dehan Hotel in Zhuhai was a wonderful surprise during my trip.
1. The location is absolutely fantastic. The beach is right across the road, and from our sea-view room, we had views of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and a lighthouse. It's perfect for watching the sunrise. If you enjoy city walks, you can stroll along the coastline all the way to the Zhuhai Grand Theater (Sun & Moon Bay), hitting all the famous Zhuhai attractions along the way. Dining options nearby are also very convenient.
2. For a hotel that's over 20 years old, the facilities are maintained much better than I expected. The room was significantly larger than those in budget hotels, spotless, and had an adequate hot water supply. The outdated wall-mounted hairdryer has been replaced with a proper one. I saw reviews mentioning a musty smell, but if the hotel turns on the air conditioning early, you won't notice it.

This weekend trip is really great, I must give a big praise to the seaside country starry sky camp!
Let me talk about the swimming pool first, the water quality is clear, the management is very clean, and the swimming is particularly comfortable. The constant temperature design is super intimate, no matter when you enter the water, you can enjoy a pleasant time of playing in the water. There are many lounge chairs and umbrellas around, and you are tired of swimming and lying on the lounge chair, basking in the sun and blowing the breeze. Don't mention how comfortable it is, it's really super film.
The parent-child shrimp fishing area is also very interesting! The number of shrimps in the shrimp fishing pool is sufficient, and the staff will patiently guide, even children can get started quickly. The family sat around, stared at the fishing rod, waiting for the shrimp to hook up is tense and exciting. The shrimp caught can also let the kitchen help processing, eating the shrimp caught by yourself, feeling particularly delicious, parent-child relationship also warmed up in the process.
The small train in the rice field is the favorite of children! Highly recommended! It's super convenient to get to – just cross the pedestrian bridge from Zhuhai High-Speed Rail Station and walk a few minutes. The area around is lively, and Gongbei Port is right across the street. The front desk staff were great, pretty much accommodating every request. The facilities are comprehensive; they even have a robot for food deliveries and a 24-hour laundry room. The room itself was spacious. Breakfast was quite varied, and we also tried the dim sum at the 3rd-floor restaurant, which many locals frequent. The six of us had a fantastic meal for just over 400 RMB. They also serve quality lunch and dinner options.

We stayed there for four days for a long weekend getaway. The experience was very relaxing. The hotel has mountain bikes, so we went out everyday riding bikes to nearby parks. We also enjoyed the daily wellness classes and the state of art gym. I even tried out some of the medical services that focus on prevention. The hotel must’ve spent a lot of efforts sourcing these machines and services.
The location is far away from the city center. It was exactly what we liked for a remote relaxing get away.

If I had to complain about anything, I would say that the mattress is very firm. But that is very subjective. Some people might like having a firm mattress. The island is full of homestays. When I was browsing with my children, I was attracted by the photos and placed an order decisively. I stayed for two days before the Spring Festival, and I was worried about the difference at first, but I was very satisfied with the room after checking in.
Three bedrooms, two bedrooms, one living room, and two bathrooms are too comfortable for our family of four. There is a big TV in the living room, and there is a tea ceremony. If you look carefully, there is a gas mask under the TV. This is a bonus. Moreover, there is a central air conditioner in this house. It was really cold to cool down for a few days, thanks to the air conditioner.
Although the kitchen is small, it has all internal organs, ovens, microwave ovens, and seasonings.
The toilets in the bathrooms are all smart toilets, which greatly improves the experience (there is no hotel in Macau for 5 nights), and for our family who cannot live without smart toilets, this is another one.
The staff at the homestay are also very enthusiastic. Everyone at the front desk, pick-up, and cleaning lady is considerate. Thanks again to the little chubby guy at the front desk and another pretty boy for helping deliver the luggage. I was asked if I wanted to stay for a month, haha, because of the luggage too heavy.
The location is also easy to find, very close to the beach, and very close to the restaurant street.
Next time I have a chance, I will choose you again.
