When our driver pulled up to the hotel by a rickety bridge over the river, we were a bit nervous as the hotel looks tiny from the outside. What we thought was the hotel was actually the lobby and the hotel is actually quite large and sprawling with buildings and bungalows scattered next to the river. The hotel has a lovely infinity pool by the river with a lounge chairs, beach towels and an affordable pool bar with snacks for sale. The rooms were spacious with large balconies. The toilet was by the front door so you had to exit the WC walk around the corner to the bathroom to wash your hands - sort of a weird set up, but did help in the morning for 2 people to get ready. This was the only hotel we stayed in with dual sinks and a long vanity so excellent for 2 travelers and a big plus! The shower was a walk in so east access. The hotel also has a restaurant where breakfast (included) is served in the morning. Unfortunately it was a buffet with limited options and the food that was supposed to be hot was always cold and unappetizing. The hotel uses tiny candles to try to keep the food warm but this method does not work at all. The hotel no longer has a shuttle to town which is a negative as you need to walk across a scary rickety bridge to get to town. The hotel does not have a gym which is a requirement, in my opinion, if you want to be a 5 star resort. My only other comment to management is to find a few better English speaking employees as we had difficulty communicating with staff. Yes we know we are in Laos and should learn to speak their language but I feel when you cater to tourists you need a few people in each area to speak the universal language for business. We did enjoy our stay and can recommend this hotel to others.

鬧中取靜的合院酒店，建築非常好看，中間是泳池景觀，泳池旁邊保留了幾顆參天的古樹，讓人有一種很強的庇護感。關鍵詞簡約典雅，傳承了安縵的氣質，但價格上可以有更多的年輕人可選擇體驗。看到有很多人也給出挑剔的評價，但我想説的是沒有任何一家酒店是絕對完美的，對我個人來説度假產品，服務設施完善，但也不需要過度服務。我覺得這一點這裏已經做的很好了。Adrian Zecha説過:“這世上沒有一塵不變的東西，一個人必須去積極擁抱新的生活方式的變化。”也是我們應該有的人生態度。下次還會選擇。

My partner and I had a wonderful time at Amantaka in December this year. The whole city has just bounced back from the pandemic so I had a little expectation when coming to Luang Prabang this year. However, everything at the resort was exceptional, from the moment we were greeted at the airport, to when we were warmly greeted by the members of staff as we arrive at the moment, and when we left the resort. The property was converted from a historic building but was very well maintained. It has a classic and subtle charm and feels very cosy and intimate. Don't forget to use the Bath House that with a private pool, steamed room and sauna. Thank you Amantaka team for exceptional hospitality and I will be back again!

酒店有一定年歲 所以硬件設定是會有點不足。空調漏水了，酒店經理知道后積極幫我處理了還免了我下午茶的消費（大概30美金）。我比較喜歡的是酒店房間不多，所以可以擁有一個比較清幽的環境，無論在房前沙發還是屋后小花園都能舒適的獃著。房間裏面的大沙發是我最愛，都想躺在那裡睡覺了

Was recommended to stay here as it was my first time there. Must say better and cheaper hotels around.. This hotel is very much of th high end and good 20 minutes walk to the town centre and famous long night market. Breakfast is indeed miserable for the price. Rooms are ok. Will surely not stay here again

位置在河邊附近都是景點，老撾特色的裝修風格，感覺很好我們一家人總共4個人要了兩間大床房睡得很舒服。唯一有點不習慣的是,上樓要脫鞋，雖然店家沒有強制要求，但入鄉隨俗嘛！

房間特別好，木質地板，有空調，有風扇，還有換氣扇，一樓房間有一張大床還有一張單人床可以住三個人，房間挺大，門口有桌椅直接可以邊吃早餐邊欣賞湄公河畔風光，酒店前台有一個會說中文的女孩，特別棒，溝通無障礙，早餐很好吃，有兩把雨傘，房間旁邊有條小路一分鐘就到布施的地方，離香通寺很近，有很多景點，好吃的也很多，如果你是中國人，選這個酒店肯定會有很多驚喜，非常值得推薦！

We absolutely loved our stay in this charming and beautiful hotel. The grounds are gorgeous (befitting it’s history as a royal residence) and peaceful, as well as immaculately maintained. We stayed in a spacious suite with views of the Mekong River. Actually, we had reserved a twin room initially and were upgraded to the suite. The suite had one king bed, however, and we usually like twin beds. When I asked if we could see if a twin room was available, they offered to bring another bed into the room. When we gladly agreed to this, they brought the bed to us in five minutes! This is an example of how caring and attentive the staff here are. Outstanding guest service! They also repaired my torn laundry bag without me asking. We also found the breakfasts to be delicious in every way. A large variety of both traditional Lao dishes and western options too. The restaurant staff are also excellent. The staff goes out of its way to ensure guests have a peaceful and pleasant experience at VXP! Highly recommended!
