China Min-Taiwan Affinity Museum: Cultural Ties Connect Both Sides, United for the Future

Located by West Lake in Quanzhou, the China Min-Taiwan Affinity Museum is the only national first-class museum in China dedicated to the theme of Min-Taiwan relations. The architecture blends the unique style of Minnan ancient houses with "red bricks and white stones, bricks extending into stones." A 12-meter-long millstone stele quietly narrates a millennium of vicissitudes, while a 19-meter Nine-Dragon pillar stands tall, pointing to the sky. The giant Peace Lotus on the roof quietly blooms, reflecting a prosperous and peaceful era. Within the "round heaven and square earth" layout, inclusiveness and profundity coexist, deeply imprinting the shared cultural charm of both sides rooted in the same origin between heaven and earth. The "Min-Taiwan Affinity" themed exhibition vividly depicts the grand panorama of ancestors crossing the sea to cultivate land and the fusion of folk customs. On the yellowed genealogies, the words "to Taiwan" echo the calls of parents; in the weathered family letters, the lines carry the blood, tears, and longing of the early settlers to Taiwan.
