Quanzhou Guanyue Temple, Qingjing Mosque, and Confucius Temple

Guanyue Temple is very popular for incense offerings, and it is said that the divination sticks are extremely effective. The main hall's kneeling cushions are filled with people who have smashed the sacred cup. The procedure is quite complex: to draw a divination stick, you must first smash the sacred cup to ask the deity for permission, and the cup must land one side up and one side down before you can draw the stick. The porcelain carvings on the temple roof are extremely intricate and colorful. In contrast, the nearby Qingjing Mosque appears quite simple, with only the dome above the main gate showing religious characteristics. The Confucius Temple is the most solemn, featuring walls made with "brick in, stone out" construction and decorative brick patterns, all characteristic of Minnan red brick mansions.
