This massive complex accommodates 55,000+ people in a climate controlled environment. Rain or shine, a great place for a baseball game though a bit impersonal for a concert or other live performance. Concession prices are incredibly reasonsable and so are game ticket prices. Jingumae stadium is more intimate but Tokyo Dome is still great fun.
Small stadium so you can see homerun rather than other stadiums in japan.
Don't miss the chance to catch a Japanese baseball game! Of the stadiums in the Tokyo area, Tokyo Dome is the most famous and home of the premier Japanese team - the Giants. Also, the area surrounding the dome is full of shops and entertainment, so you'll have a great time before the game as well. I was able to get SRO tickets half an hour before game time, and it is possible to scalp tickets as well. I haven't tried that though.
I haven't been able to be inside this egg-shaped building, but I've heard that it played an important role as entertainment venue in Tokyo, whether for baseball games or concert venue. I once visited the outer Tokyo Dome area for Japan's baseball souvenir. This is a nice spor for baseball lovers especially for it houses of Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame.
