Apart from the lovely view that the hotel offers, everything else was pretty average.. The staff were more interested in each other's company than helping out their guests.. Breakfast staff Ignore you when u ask for butter, and tell you to make your own toast, once they have already brought you the hot breakfast which consists of 2 eggs, a cold piece of ham, a mini heavily processed vienna and a tomatoe.. The pool guy threw heaps of chlorine and chemicals into the pool at 9.45am when I ask him to hold on for a bit so that I can have a quick swim before my 10am departure. He refused and said it's his cleaning time and we must wait till later, mmmm they need to learn a lot about service in this place. The receptionist was probably the best of them all, although we had to sit around waiting for the computers to come online when trying to check in.. Our room was small and the basin was cracked right through. The changeroom toilet seat was also chipped, which prevented me from sitting on it. My patio door could not lock due to misalignment and forced a chair against it to try secure it for the night. The on site parking advertised which we reserved when booking, was actually on street parking, although I did see a guard on duty. I tried to use the free paddle skis, but because I only had a credit card and not enough physical cash on me for a breakage deposit my daughter and I were unable to go paddling. If you're interested in using the kayaks be sure to bring R1000 cash per person... Ps. The beach area was awesome...

Excellent restaurant, friendly and very helpful staff. This is a 3 star hotel and so not all ammenities are available (some rooms are a bit cramped for example), but the overall impression is exceptional. And the views across the Bay to the City are unique. The bridge across the Bay of Maputo has made this hotel much more accessible. We noticed a lot of people came in for the dinners. However, we spent Christmas there and the hotel had a wide selection of guests including families from Maputo. When locals are clients you can be assured that the venue is great. The restaurant had a good choice of food - although we concentrated on the seafood of which Mozambique is famous.
