This is a hard review to write- on one hand the location was excellent, within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, the harbor front and sights. The management was friendly and responsive. On the other hand the apartment is large but fairly worn, with no comfortable seating and an older mattress. It was cleaned daily but had an infestation of small ants throughout. Breakfast was delivered and was generous but as another reviewer mentioned the same every day. Also only instant coffee or herbal tea. The view from the windows was lovely but the construction across the street was noisy- fortunately we were out most of the day. If we were to visit Madeira again I would probably choose a hotel on the water.

Clean, modern apartment with a comfy bed and a huge shower. Breakfast service and room service make you feel like you are in a hotel. Luggage storage would be possible, we requested that over the phone because of an early arrival and then even the room was already ready for us to check in. After travelling around the island the washing machine was a real bonus for us. Location is good with a few minutes walk to restaurants, bus stops and the seafront. To begin with we had a little problem with the washing machine (some programs would not do a full cycle to start with and we had to run it all again), but that was not a big deal. An extract fan in the bath or a bigger window would be good, it was quite steamy in there.

I booked two apartments at this hotel for 6 nights. The apartments are well maintained and clean. We traveled together with our friends. The hotel is very well located, a short distance from the old center, restaurants and shops. We were very satisfied with the hotel and the relationship with the hotel employees. Check-in is very easy as you receive a message with the code for the main door and rooms. I saw that they also have parking, which is a very important point. The only minus, for me, was just the mattress on the bed, which was a bit too hard and I didn't rest comfortably, but I don't want to discuss much about this aspect because we were very happy with the choice made. The breakfast is modest but, for people who are not picky, it can be classified as decent. In a word, it was a perfect stay, we felt very good and ate very well at the restaurants near the hotel. Moreover, my husband and friend also went fishing, at the "OURMARY" agency, and caught about 50-60 kilos of tuna. For fishing lovers, I recommend you to try it. Finally, I recommend you to opt for the apartments offered by Travelers Pearl by Storytellers. If we return to Funchal, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

Logement confortable et récent, à proximité à pied du centre ville et du téléphérique. Le service ménage passe tout les jours refaire le lit parcontre draps et grandes serviettes n'ont pas été changés au bout de 3 jours comme indiqué dans le descriptif de la chambre. Le petit-déjeuner complet est accroché à la poignée de porte d'entrée ce qui est pratique et évite de sortir à l'extérieur pour déjeuner. Le parking voiture est appréciable car la résidence étant à côté d'un stade de foot, le stationnement est plutôt difficile et toujours plein car ce sont des petites rues. Vous accédez à la résidence et à votre logement avec un code personnel qui vous est transmis,. L'ascenseur est également appréciable. N'hésitez pas à déguster les spécialités locales et profiter des activités, du folklore et promenades qu'offre cette jolie île
