We had a great stay at this B&B. The owner and his daughter are both guides and the told us a lot about the history of this region and the city of Otranto and the mosaic floor in the cathedral! Breakfast was unbelievable good with a lot of different fresh fruit from the region, all kinds of bread, cheeses and meat, pastries and a lot more. Thank you for your memorable hospitality.

This is a beautiful white house just outside the old town with onsite parking, offering B&B accommodation and run by a very friendly and warm host called Domenico. The room was spacious and comfortable with an attached balcony. Domenico speaks very good English, given his overseas work experience, and is a source of good ideas and information about the area. The breakfast was the most generous spread we experienced in our entire travels through Puglia, and his special coffee with almond milk is unmissable.

Domenico and daughter Erica warmly welcomed us.They helped answer questions and were very knowledgeable about the history of Otranto.The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean.The breakfast was home made and delicious.Location was perfect to the town and sea.They went through great lengths to make us comfortable. An absolute gem of a place to stay in Otranto. We stayed at La Casa del Gelso Bianco for three nights whilst in Otranto; definitely one of the best B&B’s we have stayed in! Great location, just a short 2 minute walk to the beach and no more than 5 minutes to walk into the heart of town which is packed with restaurants, bars and shops! The room was absolutely spotless and clean. The bed was comfy and the bathroom looked brand new! We even had our own balcony! There was also a small safe in the room which is always a bonus. Our host Dominico was lovely and welcoming. He made us fresh coffee every morning with breakfast (which was also delicious). A great selection of meats, cheeses, pastries and fruit to choose from every morning. There was a courtyard area at the back of the B&B with tables to sit out at if you wished. There was also a dedicated area with clothes lines to hang your wet swimming stuff in the evenings if you’ve been at the beach! All in all I would 100% recommend staying here for anyone visiting Otranto. Location is perfect, host is amazing and the room was lovely!

We were on a bike tour of Salento and this B&B was selected by the tour operator. Very friendly welcome from Domenico, including a welcome mug of tea on arrive. Domenico was very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was delicious including unusual fruits from his garden, Room was comfortable and quiet. Location is a short walk to the historic centre.
