This place is so sweet! Was here with a group and everyone was comfortable. Beautiful grounds, great food, lots of birds, super clean and comfy rooms and amazing, friendly, accommodating staff. Also, the cat is friendly and loving. Highly recommend.

Staff waited for us at the airport (we arrived in the middle of the night) and brought us very quickly. Very calm and peaceful hotel situated in a gated property. Had a clean triple room for the two of us, a bottle of water on arrival, and good breakfast the next morning. Would recommend for a sleep close to the airport!

I stayed at this inn for 3 months during my study abroad program and the owners and staff were so friendly and kind to us! They made us feel like we had a new family there and I would definitely go back. The hostel staff also always cleaned our rooms very thouroughly. The hostel is so cute, with a sunny yellow and white theme, lots of garden spaces and flowers, a pool, and a waterslide. It also has an open grassy back lawn, where they are able to host large events, and always decorate the hostel beautifully! As it is outside of Quito, the air is fresh and clean and there aren't city noises so it is very tranquil, so we almost always got a good nights sleep. There is also a beautiful view of Pichincha and Quito from the upstairs balcony from which you can watch the sunset over the city in the distance.

We had an excellent experience at Hostería San Carlos. My study abroad group was lodged here for 3 months. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice, cleaned thoroughly most days. The showers typically had warm water. The grounds are beautiful, with nice patios. There is a pool, hot tub, and waterslide. This hostel is also great for events - there were several gorgeous weddings and parties here during our time. The location is convenient if you need to go to the airport, but about 50 minutes from Quito. We would often take Ubers to get to Quito, but the hostel does have their own transportation services. The hotel is very well managed - Andrés, the owner, is very organized, professional, and kind.

Die Hosteria San Carlos ist die reinste Räuberhöhle: es gibt kein Restaurant, sondern eine Karte mit Pizza und Getränken. Zu meiner Überraschung wurde dann die Bestellung telefonisch an einen Lieferservice gegeben, der, zu den Preisen der Karte, noch einen fetten Zuschlag berechnet. Ein Taxi zum Flughafen wird nur bestell, wenn man den Preis von 10 $ akzeptiert, wobei der Fahrer 3$ bekam, den Rest steckte sich die Bedienung ein. Ein Glas Wein kostet 7$ - da die Hosteria völlig einsam liegt, ist man diesem Wucher ausgeliefert. Mein Zimmer war groß, aber 4 Betten, zum Glück hatte ich das Zimmer für mich allein. Allerdings war ich auch der einzige Gast. Also: auf keinen Fall buchen!! Abzockerei. Ein Bett hat eine Nachtischlampe, allerdings gab es keine Steckdose.
