聖蓬薩3星級酒店

It's not fancy but it's ok. Simple one bedroom apar**ent which was clean and comfortable and had just about everything needed for a 1 week stay in March. 2 ring hob, microwave, kettle and coffee machine in kitchenette. All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils but no mugs for English tea ;-) Two single beds pulled together as double with extra linen in cupboards in case you got cold. Really clean and serviced once during our stay. Checked in by Albert who arrived quickly after ringing the number on the door (make sure you have a mobile that can make European calls). Parking easy at front or down steep slope at back. Lots of restaurants closed in early March so a bit of hunting around for dining options. Good local supermarkets (Eroski) for supplies and a really good base to go off and explore a really beautiful island. Would recommend if you want a basic, self catering good clean base.

Lovely hotel/apartments, although rooms were basic, they were adequate, especially for the price we paid. Not too far from the centre, there is also shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Pool area nice and clean. We didn't use the restaurant facilities, so we can't comment. We have to to better places, bit we've also been to worse. But you get what you pay for and we would stay here again.

Fabulous little hotel, spotlessly clean and near to beach and amenities. Marisol on reception does a fabulous job and is very friendly and knowledgeable. Cleaners work tirelessly. Been coming twice a year for 10 years. Perfect little bar across the road Bar Rumba is a must visit

Room was really spacious and clean. Location is fantastic. We had 3 adults in a room and it was plenty of room. Iron was available from reception Beds were comfy, sofa bed easy to pull out. Reason for 4 stars was reception man was a little rude when we arrived and asked me to provide evidence that it was for portofino and not the other hotel which I had and we found the hotel was booked with another name from our party. Not the end of the world. Also room only had 1 mirror which was in the bathroom. It would have been nice to have a full length mirror somewhere and maybe a mirror in the bedroom. Pool was great too. Clean and we were able to get a sunbed. Not over crowded. I would definitely stay again. Our room - from our balcony we could see the beach so it was lovely in the morning. Supermarket and restaurants close by, really great location.

We had booked this as a last minute deal as our original holiday to Morocco was cancelled in the airport. We arrived at the hotel late at night and having stayed in some decent hotels and some down right crappy hotels and having managed to secure a holiday we were open minded. The hotel reception was manned and friendly, there were lifts to our lower level apartment. The apt was large with a large balcony and sufficient kitchen needs with a large bathroom and shower. Air con was in working order in one room only. There are 2 pools one for children and one for the rest of the guests with a decent amount of sun beds, of which is open 10-6 which is the same as the over priced bar, if you don’t want to pay the hotel prices there are some shops towards Santa Ponsa streets which are 150 steps away down to this area, the shop prices are much more affordable but you’re not allowed to consume these at the pool area. Overall we were satisfied with our stay but set your expectations

I’ll preface my review with we got our room for a great price as we booked quite last minute so my experience reflects that. The location is 5 min walk to the beach, bars and restaurants but tucked away so no loud revellers passing at night! The room we were in was likely the most basic they have. It was small without a balcony (or fridge) but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable plus good air con (which was a godsend after spending all day in the humid temps!). We will upgrade for a balcony next time as drying wet items without it was a faff. Staff were friendly and accommodating however make sure to use your house keeping sign should you want your room cleaned as we forgot and had to request fresh towels (which reception were happy to provide for us) The pool area was our favourite by far, it’s well maintained and super quiet. There was always a sun bed available and plenty of shade. The only con here is access to the actual pool isn’t till 11 which is quite late really but it closes at 7pm. Plenty of soft and alcoholic drink options, including cocktails at the bar and they also do food (like pizza, chips etc) but we didn’t try it so I can’t comment on it. Breakfast was included but it’s a very small selection of items. Bacon, scrambled eggs, beans or tomatoes, cereals, breads, fruit, cold meats, cheese, tea coffee and fruit juices. We personally loved the breakfast that was included as it was enough for us but for those used to big hotels, you may be disappointed. They have a luggage store room that has a shower which was fab as we had a late flight back but you can request a late checkout for an additional charge (€20/25pp) Beach/pool towels are available but require a refundable €10 deposit. We just kept the same one for the full trip. Overall we had a very pleasant time and hope to return soon!

My honest review of my recent stay in the hotel Negatives We arrived late (11pm) on reception we got told there was no way of getting any food or drink in the hotel. Not even a complimentary bottle of water in our room. So we carted our suitcases to the room then headed out and no shops were open! Next day I mentioned it and was told there was a vending machine with water and other drinks, no mention of it the night before. We were hot, tired and the last thing we wanted was to venture out looking for water. Eventually we found a bar and we got a drink. By which time my little girl was crying. Not a good start. The bar,eating and entertainment area. It was roasting and I mean roasting. It was outside and often of an evening we struggled to get a seat to eat as they had all been taken for the entertainment. It was all outside and in mid August the heat was unbearable. I’m guessing other months it’s more suitable but for that month air conditioned indoor area would have been better. Don’t wear white or light colours in the pool you’ll get them turning yellow. Now the negative is out the way I’ll go into the positives and there are a lot. The room It was brilliant. Ample size for me , my partner and my daughter. The shower was powerful and never struggled for hot water. Towels could have been a bit bigger but were fine enough. Air con was exceptionally good and the view from our balcony was the pool which was nice. Also a maiden on the balcony which was great. The food Can’t fault it. I’ve been to a lot of all inclusive hotels and although this was smaller the food was great! The best paella I’ve ever had. Cakes amazing too and always a great variety. Chef on hot griddle doing fresh meats and fish as well as ample salads and food on the hot counter. Food was always hot too. Alex the waiter was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and he always had a big smile on his face. Credit to the hotel. Entertainment The kids loved it and the mini disco was a hit. They try their best to get you all to have a good time. There was a parrot show on whilst we were there and it was brilliant. During the day a lovely lady did the entertainment and she was a big hit with all the kids and had such a lovely way with everyone. Pool Brilliant size and i absolutely loved the fake grass it was so much better than tiles on feet and obviously not slippy. Sunbeds no issue in height of season we always got one. Parasols plenty too. Life guards work so hard and are on the ball which is good. Area You can’t get much better, it’s literally down the road from all the shops and bars and the beach. The hill which people say is a struggle was literally just the pavement slightly is steep. Nothing at all really we hardly noticed it. Lots of shops, close to main bus routes and the beach is fab. All in all a great holiday. Only thing that let us down was the evening heat. However that’s no one’s fault and comes with booking during summer season when you have a
