Baoguo Temple Ginkgo Viewing Guide

For this thousand-year-old ginkgo, I made a special trip to Qingpu 🍂🍂🍂 The sense of ritual in late autumn must be reserved for a tree of brilliant ginkgo leaves. This ginkgo at Baoguo Temple, with a history of a thousand years, planted beside the ancient temple and marked with number 004, has turned yellow. As I watch it dyed translucent golden by the season, it feels as if time itself pauses and settles here, then slowly drifts down. 🍂🍂🍂 The temple’s red walls and gray tiles are its calmest backdrop, the falling fan-shaped leaves are its gentlest brushstrokes. When the wind blows, a shower of "golden rain" falls beneath the tree, covering the stone path, incense burner area, and steps with a soft golden carpet. Sunlight filters through the gaps in the branches, casting dappled shadows. The entire temple is enveloped in a warm, glowing aura.
