You absolutely MUST go to the Bund in Shanghai!

Just returned from the Bund in Shanghai, and the awe-inspiring blend of history and modernity still lingers in my mind! As someone who loves city nightscapes, I specifically chose to go in the evening to avoid the daytime heat and crowds. Located on the banks of the Huangpu River, the Bund offers a vibrant atmosphere for a stroll from the Peace Hotel to the Shiliupu Wharf. The air is filled with the aroma of river breezes and street food, and the surrounding area is bustling with tourists from all over the world and locals—lively yet not noisy. Upon arrival, I was immediately drawn to the century-old European-style buildings—buildings like the Customs House, the Peace Hotel, and the Bund complex itself. Each building is like a living history book, transforming into a magnificent palace when illuminated. The skyline of Lujiazui in Pudong across the river is even more breathtaking, with the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Shanghai World Financial Center, and the Shanghai Tower soaring into the sky, their neon lights flashing like a futuristic city from a science fiction movie. Cruise ships ply the Huangpu River, reflecting the lights in shimmering waves—it's simply romantic! I stood there for ages, taking countless photos, and even bought a coffee to sit by the river and daydream. Time seemed to slow down. #NovemberDestinations2025
