POP Terrace Restaurant offers the emotional value of dining by incorporating stunning scenery of the Bund and the Huangpu River (photos 1-7) into its cuisine. Located on the 7th-floor viewing terrace of Bund 3 (photos 10, 11), the midday sun is perfectly blocked by the building's roof (photos 8, 9). As long as the temperature isn't too extreme, the river breeze and beautiful views add a special touch to the food, making the choice of what to eat less important. We ordered a set meal for two, priced at 438 RMB for lunch. The same set meal would cost over 700 RMB in the evening, making lunch a much better value. Simplified Western-style meal: 1️⃣Bread: The bread was classic, not too sweet, and easy to enjoy. 2️⃣Choose two out of three appetizers; we chose fig and chicory salad and Norwegian salmon. 🌟The salad was beautifully presented and, with its dressing, refreshing and sweet. 🌟The salmon was very fresh; chopped and tossed with a sweet and sour char siu sauce, it tasted great. 3️⃣For the main course, we chose two out of four options: truffle cream mushroom pasta and Angus sirloin steak. 💥The truffle cream mushroom pasta was rich in flavor, with a delicate mushroom aroma. The pasta had a nice chewy texture and was delicious. 💥The Angus sirloin steak, cooked medium-rare, was very tender and served with a special Argentinian sauce, giving it a unique flavor. However, the fries served as a side dish were quite ordinary, not even as good as KFC's. 4️⃣There was no choice for dessert, but we had: 🧀Guava Flower: Beautifully presented, with three layers of ice cream, pudding, and cake. Sweet and sour, perfect for enjoying after a large meal. 🧀White Chocolate Smoothie: Refreshing and icy, topped with pistachio crumbs, it had a unique and delicious flavor.
