Very comfortable, current rooms in a historic Inn with wine bar in/as the Lobby. The tiny town of Jackson is a great stopping point between Crater Lake and Redwoods, CA (with a midway stop at Oregon Caves NM). The town is full of winery tasting rooms and a few cute shops. Mondays and Tuesdays are pretty quiet and a lot of shops close at 5:00 so afternoon visit may be advisable.

Waited for an hour for drinks and bread with no apologies. Checked on drinks and the waitress said she would go make them herself. Food took over an hr to arrive. Again no apologies from staff. Staff are frazzled, lazy and inattentive. Entree portion was decent for the fish or meat, but the side that was presented with it were so tiny. Won't be back.

We really went here with high hopes. We were very disappointed. Our food was very late. Over an hour waiting for food that had been cooked prior; example prime rib. Avacodo soup. The meat was cold. The side dish was scant. Our waitress forgot one of our entrees. We had to ask for salt and pepper twice. The final receipt was mixed up with our other family members receipt. Just one of the worst experiences in restaurant history. We won’t go back.

Sunday Mothers Day Brunch. Overall, service and food was extremely disappointing. Many buffet food trays were empty or almost empty. Other items were unappealing, cold or unedible. There was what appeared to be smoked salmon and capers, but did not see cream cheese, and no bagels or other accompanying bread. Besides melon fruit slices, there were limited "easy, can't get it wrong" food items such as bagels/cream cheese, regular toast, cold cheese and meat slices, cut veggies, pickles, olives, etc. Such items would have been appreciated. Egg dish was raw and unedible. French Toast was cold and discarded after taste of raw egg & cardboard. They did put out a new tray of french toast later that looked better, but didn't try it. Salad with strawberries had excess dressing and was wilted and soggy, but was one of the better food options. Two at our table tried the beef dish with chimichurri and said it was good. Had a reservation, but stood for 15 minutes waiting for host. Once seated, after 15 minutes someone brought bread to the table, but she quickly walked away with no communication. After waiting again, we asked a person walking by about drink orders, and finally received coffee after another wait. It's understood sometimes staff get busy, but training staff to stop at unattended tables is important to create a positive dining experience, even for a quick check-in with some type of "welcome, will be right back" or "has your server checked in with you yet" communication. After returning from buffet, we did have two different ladies quickly check-in with us, and that was appreciated. Although service was lacking, we were patient, and did enjoy the outside patio atmosphere and beautiful weather, once seated. Unfortunately, in addition to service issues, the buffet itself was also disappointing, providing an overall poor experience. Price for brunch buffet was unreasonable for dining experience, and no drinks included (not even coffee).

We are local and wanted to try the restaurant at the Inn at Jacksonville for Mothers Day. They advertised a brunch. We had reservations. Yikes!!! It was chaotic… no one to seat us…learned that there wasn’t a menu but buffet. We waited and waited to be served a beverage and begin our brunch. So… my family decided to go get food. Empty containers… no plates… just small dessert plates. When one of the customers flagged down a waitress… she brought back 8 plates!!! People waiting for food… ANY food! My daughter snagged a poached egg… cold. We were so disappointed. Until we got our bill ( which was our fault… we should have asked how much the buffet was since there wasn’t a menu). 180.00 for 4 brunches! My kids are still waiting for drinks that never came.
