We waited a long time for the shuttle and did not experience the friendliness that we had heard about with the staff and other guests. The skiing was fantastic and we are glad that we got to experience Alta. We just would have liked a bit more comfort.

The iconic wood clad lodge is great for those that love simple pleasures - all meals provided, ski out, a hot tub and cozy fresh made bed. The inhouse bar with the ring game was a highlight as well as our group fun in the big communcap room. Early birds find comfort in the spacious lobby, with tea, fruit and a fire as early as 5am.

A wonderful community created for guests, with an ambiance that is hard to equal! Good food, terrific amenities and a genial warmth throughout! The deliberate lack of TV, radio, newspapers, creates an idyllic island of ski life. All of this has brought me back over many years...and here's to many more!

The Peruvian is easily the best place to stay in Alta, by far. The location, food, and social atmosphere are top notch. The lodge is unpretentious and the staff are all friendly. Rooms are simple, yet comfortable and the outdoor pool and hot tub are true highlights. This is a skier’s paradise!

This location can't be beat for skiing at Alta. There's a shuttle that runs regularly up to both lift areas. The Peruvian's service and food are very good and the beds, in general, are comfortable. The facilities, espeically the common areas, are showing their age.
