Arline the manager speaks english I find him very helpful. Book the trekking ticket to Valbone or Theth with him as I made a big mistake and booked at the bus ticket office at 530am they pick you up for the same price 26E one way from outside the hotel/hostel. Only 12E a night for a dorm room all to myself with AC, bathroom next door and a balcony to dry my clothes out. Clean, cheap, pub downstairs turns into a nightclub where people sit out on the street Saturday nights it’s wonderful. I went to bed noise was minimal and just closed my balcony door. Recommend this hotel/hostel for a long stay it’s wonderful and I don’t want to move on. Thank you!

This place has full potential to be a top hostel - excellent location, beautiful street view, stylist bar downstairs, spacious family room, with better management and renovation, it'll be a great place. For our visit, a pity was the room - when making the booking, the staff over the emails was very helpful, she saw us being 3 adults (my son is 16 but quite tall), so she offered to book us into a better room with 2 single beds and 1 sofa bed, with a private bathroom. Upon arriving, the gentleman did not check my name against the system, instead, he asked to see my booking confirmation, then took us to a family room which was rundown, both doors to balcony and corridor could open only to a certain extent, enough to pass 1 person and makes big noise if pushed a bit further. No private bathroom, it is at the end of the corridor, next to the room. When I asked for a better room, another gentlemen took us to a better room, as per the spec described by the staff over emails, but needed to charge us extra. Since we were staying for only 1 night and in a rush to go out for sight seeing, we couldn't be bothered to move everything all over again. But when I referred back to the messages exchanged with the helpful staff, I was sure that we should have been led to the 2nd better room anyway. That room was a lot nice and had 2 single beds, 1 sofa bed and a private bathroom. Anyway, only one night here but this was the biggest pity. Overall, excellent value for money with an excellent location.
