Staying at the Grand Metropark Hotel, you can feel their sincerity right from breakfast! The wide variety of dishes is just standard practice, offering both Chinese and Western buffets. You'll find authentic Hangzhou Pian'er Chuan noodles, exquisite local Hangzhou snacks, and various Western-style meals, ensuring a daily culinary delight. The hotel's location is superb, making it very convenient to visit West Lake and Hefang Street. The rooms are cozy and elegant, and the service, especially from Xiao Dai, is thoughtful and attentive, making the entire stay from check-in to check-out comfortable. This level of quality truly makes it a top choice for a visit to Hangzhou.

The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, really close to the subway station. We were just a few stops away from West Lake and Wulin Night Market. The front desk staff were excellent – friendly, polite, and very professional at resolving any issues. One of the ladies at the front desk even recommended a fantastic restaurant right in front of the hotel, Xin Zhou Ji. The food was delicious, the ambiance great, and the service top-notch; we ended up eating there twice! Breakfast is served on the first floor, which is very handy, and the menu changes daily. Their noodles and wontons were particularly tasty, and there was a wide variety of options. The breakfast staff were also very courteous. The room itself was clean and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Hangzhou.

You can tell it's an older hotel, but the service definitely keeps up. The main draw is how convenient it is for getting around; it's very close to Beishan Street, and both bus stops and subway stations are easily accessible. Overall, it's pretty good. The breakfast was also decent. Before arriving, I added the hotel on WeChat, and Yanie upgraded me to an executive king room for free. Thumbs up!

Every year, I go to West Lake for a leisure trip, and this time I chose the Sofitel. The overall environment is comfortable, clean, and the service is excellent. Although it's by the road, the soundproofing is good. The location is superb; just go through the underpass and you're at West Lake Xintiandi. Since it's hot, I explore West Lake in the mornings and evenings to avoid the high temperatures, and spend the afternoons shopping at the mall.

Our stay here exceeded all expectations! The front desk service was friendly and efficient, and the room itself was clean and spacious. The bedding was so comfortable, we had a fantastic night's sleep. Breakfast offered a great variety and tasted delicious, and the gym was well-equipped. The location is super convenient with plenty of food and shopping options nearby. Every little detail showed thoughtful consideration, and it offers great value for money. I'll definitely be recommending this place to my friends and will choose to stay here again next time!

I frequently visit Hangzhou and was looking for a hotel with a good location. I was initially a bit worried the rooms might be old-fashioned. However, upon arriving at the lobby, the front desk staff greeted me warmly, and I was very happy with the room and floor they assigned. The front desk also patiently explained the surrounding area, including convenient dining and shopping options. They were very friendly and helpful with many things. The room layout was standard for a 4-star hotel, nothing out of the ordinary, but it was really clean with no strange odors. It had everything you'd expect: direct drinking water, a smart toilet, and a disinfection cabinet! I felt very comfortable staying in such a room. After a long day, it was great to come back and enjoy a relaxing hot bath!

Every time I visit Hangzhou, I stay here, so I sincerely have a suggestion: please switch the in-room water to additive-free options, whether expensive or cheap, it doesn't matter. If you're looking for a place that offers both urban convenience and stunning lake and mountain views, Shangri-La Hotel, Hangzhou is undoubtedly an excellent choice. The hotel's location is unparalleled, truly embodying 'lakeside splendor.' Right outside, you'll find Hangzhou's most renowned commercial district, with endless shopping and dining options, and a vibrant, brightly lit atmosphere after dark. However, what's even more captivating is that with just a short walk, the hustle and bustle are left behind, and you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of 'West Lake as beautiful as a painting.'

West Lake Lakeside Area Hangzhou|2.23km from downtown
The hotel's location is great, very convenient yet quiet, perfect for families with kids. I had booked a room with two breakfasts, but the front desk initially told me it was only for one adult and one child, and I'd have to pay for an additional adult breakfast. After I firmly explained that ”two breakfasts” doesn't differentiate by age, the front desk then said, ”then we'll count it as two breakfasts.” This felt unfair; why did it become a concession when it was what I'd originally booked? I'd be fine paying for an extra children's meal, but the two breakfasts were part of the booking, not an extra gift from the hotel. Due to my firm stance, the front desk eventually offered a complimentary children's breakfast due to a ”communication issue.” Back in the room, despite it being a non-smoking room, there was a strong smell of smoke. However, they quickly changed my room, and the hotel even called the next day to apologize. While the issues were resolved reasonably well, they could have been avoided entirely, and they did add some unnecessary stress to our trip. The food at Lakeside 28 was generally good, but the congealed hairtail dish felt like leftover braised hairtail to a local like me – it really doesn't need to be on the menu. Also, the seats near the air conditioning were very cold with strong drafts; even with a shawl, we were still freezing by the end of the meal. For a dinner costing over 1300+ for three people, the service was still a bit subpar.

West Lake, Lingyin Temple Scenic Area Hangzhou|2.95km from downtown
Overall, I'm very satisfied. This long-established hotel really stands out; their service level and attention to detail are exceptional, making for a very comfortable stay. It's a民國-era (Republic of China period) garden-style hotel located right on Beishan Road by West Lake. Jewel Hill is behind it, and West Lake is directly in front, less than a five-minute walk away. Yue Fei Temple is right next door, and it's very convenient to get to Lingyin Temple and Yintai Pedestrian Street. The hotel grounds feel like a forest park – tranquil and comfortable. All the rooms maintain an old-fashioned style, and the furniture is a bit dated, but the amenities and bedding are very comfortable. The shower, in particular, has great water pressure and is nice and hot, with no leaks. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy.

Qianjiang New Town Hangzhou|6.64km from downtown
Intercontinental Ambassador Stay 1️⃣ Overall: 7 Worth visiting as a landmark, the building itself boasts a golden age charm from the last century. The lounge service was excellent, but everything else was just mediocre, with a strong 'old state-owned enterprise' vibe. It barely passed. 2️⃣ Public Areas: 8 Putting aside utilization, the spaciousness inside the 'globe' is quite impressive. The lobby, breakfast restaurant, and lobby bar encircle the fifth floor. Circular elements are everywhere, and the circular water feature is a great touch. Also, the InterContinental scent is surprisingly noticeable even in such a large space, which deserves praise. 3️⃣ Service: 6 The service was mediocre. The welcome speech during check-in felt rote, and when I approached the front desk, they didn't even address me. On the positive side, since I arrived quite late, they did guide me to the lobby bar for the welcome amenity and informed me about the operating hours of the various restaurants and the lounge. So, it just passed. 4️⃣ Guest Room: 5 The design is not very practical. The entryway feels a bit cramped due to the placement of the walk-in closet and the circular design, while the room itself is large but empty. The foot of the bed faces the river, and the slanted glass reflects quite a lot, making the river view less appealing to return to after taking photos. 5️⃣ Breakfast: 6 Mediocre, nothing special but not bad either. The service was good. 6️⃣ Lounge: 7 The reception staff were very enthusiastic. I missed happy hour but had afternoon tea. The offerings were quite standard, and the view was a side river view. Overall, nothing particularly appealing. 7️⃣ Location: 8 Aside from being a landmark, it's right next to a subway station, and taxis are easily accessible.

Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped. The front desk is on the third floor, accessible directly from the ground floor lobby or the underground parking. Both Building 1 and Building 2 can be reached by elevator. The restaurant and gym are also on the third floor. Room Amenities: The rooms are fully equipped with a microwave, induction hob, and refrigerator, along with a dining table and cutlery. Cleanliness: The rooms are clean and hygienic, and the front desk, elevators, and public areas are also very clean. Environment: The hotel is located in two high-rise buildings within a residential complex, with a good surrounding environment. The hotel interior is spacious and thoughtfully decorated. Opposite the front desk on the third floor, there is complimentary tea and a sofa area for relaxation. Service: The service is attentive and meticulous. The front desk staff are very dedicated, and the restaurant aunties actively greeted guests, making the thoughtful service evident.

Hot spring

Hangzhou|98.66km from downtown
i have been to the hot springs three times before but I had never stayed at the hotel. This was my first time. I imagine the receptionist felt a little nervous when faced with two foreigners and maybe she felt shy. However, I found her lack of greeting, not a 你好 or 下午好, a little cold. When she did communicate with us, it was in super fast Mandarin to which I requested 请慢慢说 to no avail. She repeated just as fast twice more. I felt frustrated and then resorted to using a translation app. She called over an English-speaking Indonesian staff member. I don’t have the expectation that people will speak English to me, but I do appreciate slowing down in Mandarin and using simpler language. Hand gestures help a lot also. I wish she had told us the WiFi password, and where to access the hot springs. These are two key pieces of information a receptionist should provide when you check into a hot springs hotel. Our room had plastic flip flops to be worn to the hot springs. My pair had two left feet. When I showed the staff member on the second floor, she was helpful and got me a new pair. The hot springs were lovely, as usual. The buffet breakfast was better than the buffet dinner. The layout of the hotel leaves you walking from building to building. At first it’s confusing, but then it becomes okay.

Stunning architecture in a beautiful location. Wanted to try this Dusit as had stayed at the Dusit Thani in Bangkok and thought it was out of this world. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the one in Hangzhou. The service was not as attentive and warm and the food was definitely not in the same league, especially the breakfast - compared to Bangkok it was hugely disappointing. Drinks and cocktails selection was poor; only a gin and tonic available or two other fruit juice-based cocktails that were not very good. Had the feeling that the staff tried their best but much could be learnt from studying the exceedingly high customer service experience standards that the Bangkok Dusit holds itself to. The venue is probably the most aesthetically pleasing in the area if you want a lovely stay near the Tianmu hiking trails. However, don’t expect much in the way of a culinary experience.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was stunning and the style if the hotel was like no other. The room was clean and modern, view was terrific. Breakfast had huge variety and was very tasty. Staff was friendly and they even prepared a cake for my gf’s birthday. My only real complaint with this hotel is their amenities or rather lack there of. The whole point of amenities is for them to be included but requiring us to pay to use the mahjong room or the pool table feels a bit petty especially when you are paying a premium to stay here. Maybe people who are quite well off dont have an issue paying for these aspects but as a hard working middle class person it feels like a money grab.

The location is great: one minute walking distance to Hangzhou Railway Station and to Chengzhan metro station, one metro station away (Ding’an Road) from the historic pedestrian Zhongshan Road and Hefang Street, 2 metro stations away (Longxiangqiao) from the West Lake scenery and shore, several restaurants, cafes, and corner/convenience shops within 1 minutes walking… Quite room with a comfortable bed and an open view, iron, ironing board and safe in the room, a smal fruit and soda basket was delivered to the room the first evening, nice breakfast, fast check-in and check-out… I highly recommend this hotel for both business and private trips.

The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were incredibly friendly! There's a coffee machine in the lobby, and they have different snacks and fruits prepared daily. The breakfast selection was plentiful and very tasty! I would definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou. It's not far from Tianmuli, so you can easily go there for meals. Just a small suggestion: it would be even better if the room had a safe. Also, more options for lighting settings would be great, as the bathroom area was a bit dim, which might be a bit challenging for older guests.

Service: Compliments: 1. My child left a toy behind, and the hotel housekeeping staff immediately called to ask for the address to mail it back. This was very thoughtful and much appreciated. A big shout-out to the staff member that day. Our rooms were 8153 and 8156, both on the first floor. 2. Compliments to the lobby manager on the day of check-in, who helped us out. Thank you. Compliments to the male front desk staff member who checked us in that day. His explanations were thorough, and he helped us apply for a pass for the restricted driving zone the next day. Thank you. Compliments to the front desk staff member on the day of check-out. I forgot to check her name tag, but she was wearing a black or dark navy uniform, different from the other front desk staff. Thank you. Criticisms: The concierge department handled my child's request perfunctorily. My child needed a tote bag, first asking at the front desk, where they were told to get it from the concierge. My child then ran to the concierge, who, seeing it was a child, was very dismissive and told them to go to the next counter. It turned out there was no one there at all. I was waiting for my child from a distance and witnessed the entire incident. Aren't children also hotel guests?! Seeing this, I went over to help get the tote bag, and they immediately handed me one. The next day, at check-out, the concierge was aggressively trying to upsell to a guest nearby. The guest was clearly annoyed and trying to avoid them, but the concierge department continued their hard sell, ignoring other guests and causing a traffic jam in the driveway. Environment: The park's ecological environment is very good, though it's a bit dim at night. Hygiene: On the second day at check-out, the adults were fine, but the child had a mild skin allergy on their cheek and forearm. Facilities: They are old and a bit dated, but it doesn't affect their use. Finally, some suggestions for your hotel. I booked two rooms at 3,000 yuan per night, for a total of 6,000 yuan. The water provided is 380ml Nongfu Spring red cap (not mineral water). At this price, shouldn't we get the 550ml Changbai Snow mineral water from Nongfu Spring? At this price, the minibar still charges for items? This is an extreme example of cost-cutting. The breakfast at this price point is too ordinary; it's arguably one of the worst hotel breakfasts. The Park Hyatt next to the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, during peak holiday season, costs 2,500 yuan per night, provides 5100 Tibet Glacier mineral water (5 yuan per bottle), and the minibar is complimentary on the first night, filled with high-end snacks and drinks. Since this is the West Lake State Guest House, be more generous. Currently, it's quite embarrassing!

I brought my mother to Hangzhou, and we chose to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel. This hotel left a very deep impression on me and created many interesting memories. **Service:** Before arriving, I had considered canceling my Four Seasons reservation, partly because the previous hotel we stayed at was so incredibly comfortable. It had unbeatable views, excellent service, and was only a fifth of the price of the Four Seasons... Later, a Four Seasons staff member called me, rekindling my interest in the trip. Upon arrival, the Four Seasons' service certainly did not disappoint. The lobby supervisor knelt down to speak with us (as we were seated on a low sofa) and carried our luggage all the way to our room. During our stay, they helped us book a travel photoshoot and a reservation at Jin Sha restaurant, among other services. They also drove us around the Four Seasons garden in a lovely little red car, satisfying our curiosity as guests. In the evening, when we went out, a young man from the lobby even gave me mosquito repellent and reminded us to use it. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and always accommodated our requests. Every time we returned, the room was neat and tidy, thank you all very much! The only thing I was dissatisfied with was the 'teacher' of Song Dynasty culture. She was responsible for demonstrating tea brewing and calligraphy to guests. The hotel supervisor said this experience didn't require an appointment and was first-come, first-served. I arrived with my 70-year-old mother at 3:05 PM, and she shooed us away, saying she had an appointment at 3:30 PM... Huh? Wasn't it first-come, first-served? Why would she shoo guests away? After we insisted, she reluctantly agreed, then rushed through the demonstration in about 9 minutes. Her service attitude was a complete opposite to that of the hotel's other staff. **Ambiance:** The environment is exquisite and clean, a luxurious blend of American and Chinese styles. We were very interested in the hotel's architecture, for example, where did those massive wooden beams come from? How were they pieced together? Unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide any related information or explanations. **Facilities:** The use of solid marble and wood is impressive. Although built in 2010, the quality is still excellent. The rooms have smart toilets with heated seats, unlike the cold seats at the West Lake State Guest House. The bathtub is very comfortable with an integrated headrest, and dried chrysanthemum flowers are provided for bathing in the summer. The SPA facilities are very comprehensive, with a layout resembling an alchemy chamber from a cultivation novel. A small stream runs beneath thick stone slabs, with massage rooms on both sides. The heavy iron door leads to a private area complete with a toilet, shower, and hot spring pool, offering excellent privacy. The dim sum lunch at Jin Sha restaurant, the crispy chicken, and the West Lake sweet and sour fish were especially delicious! My mother particularly loved the sweet and sour fish and even finished all the sauce. Breakfast was decent but unremarkable. The space was too small, and the flow for getting food was very poorly designed. Everyone had to queue in the corridor to get dishes, which felt unrefined and lacked the grandeur expected of a luxury hotel. It didn't match the hotel's prestige, and I suggest improvements. Overall, we were satisfied. If 100 is a perfect score, we'd give it a 95.

Xixi Wetland Park Area Hangzhou|6.57km from downtown
The hotel is tucked away deep within Xixi Paradise, offering a tranquil environment. It has that distinctive Banyan Tree serenity, with private courtyards ensuring undisturbed privacy. Breakfast is decent – nothing extraordinary in terms of variety, but all the essentials are there. The Chinese restaurant is also quite good, though the main dining hall can be a bit chilly. Room cleanliness is excellent, though it would be even better if they could eliminate the occasional drain odor from the bathroom. Service is top-notch; they constantly check if everything is alright with your stay and deliver complimentary snacks and fruit daily! It's a great hotel, keep up the good work!

Song City/Zhuantang Town/Zhijiang Tourist Area Hangzhou|11.83km from downtown
Although this trip to Hangzhou wasn't the main focus of my journey and was originally just a stopover on my way back, it ended up being the most memorable part. It all started with a call from Trip.com. Two days before check-in, they called to ask if I was interested in a suite. I said I thought it was pretty similar to a mountain view room and I didn't really care. They then offered me a priority upgrade to a suite at no extra charge, which I happily accepted. I felt like I'd won the lottery, and honestly, I still don't quite understand how it happened. We arrived around noon that day. The front desk lady, Miss Eva, greeted us warmly. After checking in, she showed us to the suite and gave us a brief overview of the hotel. Since it was an upgraded suite, the room was really spacious and fully equipped with a capsule coffee machine, plenty of drinks, welcome fruit, and some snacks. The suite had two bathrooms, a large reception room, and a big bathtub. The decor and layout had a very British feel. My only regret at the time was the balcony; the suite's balcony was almost completely obstructed, so we couldn't see the view outside. But we were still very content because we had originally booked only a mountain view room and now we were in a suite. At lunchtime, we went to the hotel's Chinese restaurant. Midway through our meal, I unexpectedly received a call from the front desk saying a guest had checked out and they wanted to show us a room. Perhaps the front desk lady had noticed a hint of disappointment in me earlier when we first saw the suite. I had booked the room specifically for the balcony view, but the obstruction meant I couldn't see anything outside. So, as soon as a room with a clear balcony became available, she contacted me. I was really touched at the time. I told her we didn't have high demands, just wanted to take a few photos in the room. She patiently took us to several rooms with balconies for us to take pictures. Afterwards, she even called to inform us that they had arranged for the partition between our balcony and the adjacent one to be moved, effectively connecting them. She said we could go to the neighboring balcony to take photos, as that room would remain empty for now. I was truly shocked and incredibly satisfied with how the hotel handled it; it was beyond my expectations. We went out later that afternoon and returned in the evening to find the air conditioning on. Later, when we had some Wi-Fi issues, I contacted the front desk. Although she might not have been the most technically proficient, she tried her best to solve the problem, working on it for a long time until the Wi-Fi was finally fixed. The next day, we had breakfast at the hotel's Western restaurant, which had a lovely ambiance. After breakfast, we also visited the hotel's back garden, which had peacocks, black swans, and a large lawn. To sum up, I think the hotel pays great attention to detail, is very thoughtful, and the front desk service is excellent. The hotel's environment, facilities, and cleanliness are all superb. If you're visiting Hangzhou Songcheng or Jiuxi and prefer a British style, I highly recommend this hotel. I especially want to commend the front desk lady; I only know her WeChat name is Eva. If the hotel management sees this, I hope they can convey my thanks to her again.

## Amanfayun Stay Review **Pros:** * Superb location, just a 5-minute walk to Lingyin Temple/Feilai Peak, boasting unique and precious scenic resources. * The rooms beautifully preserve the ancient village aesthetic, with wooden structures and Zen-inspired furnishings creating a serene atmosphere. The bedding comfort was also top-notch. **Cons:** 1. **Privacy Concerns:** The hotel's pathways are open to the public, leading to numerous non-guests passing through in the mornings and evenings. Views from outside the guest rooms are only partially screened by trees, which significantly undermines Aman's core promise of 'hidden luxury and privacy.' 2. **Outdated Facilities:** The room facilities are notably old. The showerhead couldn't regulate water temperature, forcing me to take a cold shower late at night. We had to contact the front desk the following day for maintenance. 3. **Lack of Proactive Service:** For butler service, guests need to proactively request contact information, and the response mechanism for basic needs felt passive. This is a significant deviation from the 'invisible' or 'seamless' service one expects from a luxury hotel. **Summary:** In conclusion, while the historical charm and location are definite highlights, the lapses in privacy protection, facility maintenance, and service details fall short of 'top-tier luxury' standards. I hope the brand can better understand and address the specific needs of its core clientele.

East Railway Station Area Hangzhou|6.28km from downtown
The hotel is right next to East Station, within walking distance. My friend and I arrived around midnight last night, and the front desk staff greeted us politely and proactively. Seeing how tired we were, he thoughtfully offered a free room upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise! Knowing we wouldn't have breakfast the next day, he even gave us a free breakfast voucher – an even more delightful surprise! 🙏🫶 The hotel's decor has a really high-quality feel throughout, from the lobby, hallways, and elevators to the rooms themselves, all are spacious and bright. Every staff member we encountered greeted us proactively. Even at past midnight, they were still enthusiastic and polite when giving us directions to our room. Simply fantastic! 👏👍😊 If I need a place to stay in Hangzhou again, this will be my top choice. Recommended rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was my first stay at an Atour hotel, and I'm so glad I booked it. After a long day of traveling, it was the perfect place to unwind and get some good rest. The hotel butler even contacted me in advance to ask about my preferences and sent up some fruit. First, the soundproofing: I found it to be very quiet. I didn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms or the hallway. It's next to a road, which is unavoidable, but they even provided earplugs. Next, the service: It was incredibly hot during my trip to Hangzhou, so I was sweating a lot and needed to wash my clothes daily. The laundry room had long queues every night, but the staff would help wash your clothes and deliver them to your door. They mentioned sometimes working until 2 or 3 AM, which shows how hard they work. Finally, the hygiene, facilities, and surroundings: The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, and the mattress and pillows are soft yet supportive. Within 1km, there's a Tianjie shopping mall with plenty of dining options, and you can also head to the riverside to cycle and enjoy the breeze.

I was incredibly satisfied with my stay at Xizi Art Hotel this time! The room design was very artistic, and the whole atmosphere was comfortable and quiet. As soon as I walked in, I felt completely relaxed. It's very close to Hangzhou East Railway Station, and getting to West Lake Culture Plaza was super convenient, making travel completely stress-free. The staff were very kind and even thoughtfully helped me replenish water and amenities in the evening, paying attention to all the small details. The bed was super comfortable, and the hot water for showering was consistently stable. Overall, the value for money is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou!

The elevator in the arranged room is particularly far away, but the room has fruit to send. The mattress and pillows in the room are also very comfortable to sleep. The cooperative laundry room pays attention to the washing machine cleaning. There are black fluffs on the quilt sheets, but it doesn't matter. I have cleanliness but not much. There are quite a lot of breakfast types. There are robots for takeaways that can be delivered to the room. In addition, it is recommended that some alcohol cotton pads and disposable toilet pads be placed in the hotel room.
